Watched X-men Apocalypse, but I was unable to find a 3d copy to rent. And unless some reliable 3d fans can assure me that the 3d is phenomenal, I will never watch this piece of crap again. What a mess! Worst X-men film ever, maybe the worst comic book movie ever.

Watched Robinson Crusoe (wild life) 3d and the story is average but the 3d is great. It has nice depth with some cool pop outs plus lots of images near or out of the screen. I would says it is a demo worthy disk for 3d and ranks up there with Sammy adventures/thunder and the house of magic. Picked this up for a good price from amazon UK but it is region b locked.

I thought this was the best of the series and the three-dee so much enhanced the viewing experience. Sometimes reinventing a franchise pays off. |

Doesn't it hurt seeing some big price drops on some older released great titles?
All I can say was when I got into 3D a little more than a year ago there were so many that had price reductions or could be purchased used for a fraction of their original cost that I quickly built up my collection relatively cheap. Problem is - I've caught up and won't wait a year or so for prices to fall on all the good ones coming out since. So it's shopping around to save a few dollars but not the bargain hunting I had before (except for some reissues on Disney discs from Zavvi). "Tangled" was the last one we watched which is one of a few unseen still remaining from my "bargain bin" days. Wonderful take on the Rapunzel fairy-tale and great 3D immersement. But ouch, it's getting more costly since I can't wait for some to come outl |

Yesterday I bought and watched Star Wars The Force Awakens 3D Blu-ray. I bought it for $32.89 at Wal-Mart. The 3D is as good as in the theaters. Especially the Star Destroyer! But, I felt the 3D needed to pop out more in other scenes. I would have preferred the inclusions of the IMAX scenes. That would have helped increase the 3D effects. 3D conversions are o.k. Native 3D is better for Pop Outs!

Watched Star Wars 3D last week: best 3D I have ever seen on my home screen.
Watched Finding Nemo 3D today: also top 5 of all 3D I have seen. Really cool and immersive. |

Watched :
![]() Easily the worst animated film I've seen this year, even at just over 80 mins long this was a struggle to get through. On a plus note, the 3D is good & there are 2 or 3 really good pop-out moments. Last edited by Sithlord75; 11-21-2016 at 10:03 PM. |

My wife and I would agree with you on that. The only funny bit is with the Minions. We couldn't stop laughing

Finally watched my copy of Captain America: Civil War and this was my first time seeing it in 3D. Only saw it in theatres as a regular 2D showing. Overall I thought the 3D wasn't that bad for added depth/dimensions. Not up there with Guardians of the Galaxy but not as bad as say Thor. (Only saw that in theatres maybe the blu is better) Plus I liked the movie a little more the 2nd go around. From a 3.5 to a solid 4 out of 5 film.

Started watching Despicable Me 3D, always up for some 1.85 3D animation.
Most of the movie looks amazing, of course, but there does seem to be alot of crosstalk with this 2010 flick. I found myself perching on the front of my seat to get a slightly higher viewing position, that helped but the perfect viewing angle for this one seems very narrow on my TV. Maybe someone with a new OLED can comment on what they're seeing with this disc. Last edited by Frank@Chicago; 11-23-2016 at 02:38 PM. |

Ghostbusters 2016
![]() First time. Sometimes I agree with the majority opinion here, sometimes I don’t. In this case it’s both. Agree: The movie is not really good. I was optimistic since a lot of flops in the last year I quite enjoyed (“Gods of Egypt”, “Pan”, “In the Heart of the Sea”). But here I can understand the outcome. Most jokes didn’t work for me, the iconic music was “updated” in a way I couldn’t care about and in general, the enthusiasm was simply missing. But at least I thought the actors did their best. The fault, for me, is in the script. Disagree: A thumps down for the 3D from me. It’s not that it is awful (it is not) but it was one of the most frustrating experiences lately. Mainly for all the potential wasted. Good depth and plenty of fun pop outs should give you a very satisfactory result. But apart from some special shots, they didn’t bothered giving the characters any volume at all (even in closer shots they mostly stayed flat) and way too many scenes couldn’t give you a realistic sense of space. It’s funny that “Star Trek Beyond” I watched the other day is quite the opposite: many people here complain about the 3D but that one has both: volume and a realistic space (most of the time anyway). I would sacrifice pop outs any day if I can have good volume instead. To sum it up: I fear the disc will collect quite some dust on my shelf. ![]() |
