Big week for me:

These German Mediabooks appear to have gone under the radar of most here. No mention on the forum, not even in the Germany subsection. Anyway, each of the four cover variations is a numbered limited edition of just 333 copies. Bit nuts of me to buy all four, but old collecting habits die hard.

Other purchases and arrivals:

All this, plus the super-deluxe edition of the first Roxy Music album, together with a limited edition print signed by Bryan Ferry. Alas, no BD content in that set, only DVD.

Deep Discount for Professor Marston & The Wonder Women. Beat the Bomb for The Final Countdown. The rest from Amazon.de & Ebay.

GB from another site for Rogue One one click. Blufans should be commended for their packaging.

Way to go sticking it to the man, well a couple of "old bitties."

Had a couple of days out of the office due to a leaky ceiling and I've come back to a nice collection of treats:

Tideland and Lost in La Mancha complete the Terry Gilliam collection (at least until reissues appear) and will come in handy with the Gilliam season I've just begun. Got his first two shorts and Monty Python and the Holy Grail down over the weekend and I'll be jumping on Jabberwocky very soon.

I completed my Terry Gilliam collection recently with Tideland funnily enough, though I'll probably get the US theatrical cut of Brazil at some point for completeness. There's also the Arrow release of 12 Monkeys coming

Yeah, I've seen about Twelve Monkeys and I'd love to get the Criterion release of Brazil to replace my current copy (the UK Sony Director's Cut release) but I'm yet to go region free. It's more because I'm doing the rewatch of his work that I've completed the collection, as I'd like to see things in the best quality I can. He's one of my favourite directors of all time, though, so I'll definitely jump on any upgrade!

I haven't seen Damnation Alley since I was a kid, I was obsessed with the film at the time. I was constantly drawing the Landmaster back then, adding my own little custom mods to it!

Not much this week.

Both from Amazon - Hellraiser box set (when it was reduced to £12.99) and Blade Runner 2049 LE version.

YAY! Someone actually agrees with me that it's great! I wouldn't put it quite that high in Gilliam's oeuvre, but it's a definite 4/5 movie for me. Most people I know aren't keen on it, and my fiancée absolutely hates it, but I've felt since I first saw it that there was something quite special about it.

My second Blade Runner 2049 purchase this week.

Nice 24 hour turnaround from Zavvi too!

Haven't watched it in years but I remember really enjoying it, and my family liked it too. The only Gilliam I don't have very much love for are The Brothers Grimm and Dr. Parnassus (though the latter is worth watching for Tom Waits alone).

I did wonder if Arrow have confirmed Twelve Monkeys and were teasing Fear and Loathing, could they also get Tideland? Would make sense, if they have a Universal deal, to do all three.
