The Man with No Name trilogy is the only westerns I like. Okay, maybe Unforgiven as well. Unforgiven could actually act as the closing movie for the man with no name.

You should definitely watch Once Upon a time in the West. It is Leone with a large budget, excellent production values, and none of the occasionally distracting lip sync issues from his Italian films.

Not sure if it's perfect,it has has a very complicated plot for a children's film, but I do think that what the Wachowski's achieved with this movie is nothing short of astonishing.
I was very sad to see it dismissed like that when it was in theatres, and they never returned to this kind of visual storytelling after that. |

The audience wanted mo(o)re and mo(o)re , (00)7 films :
LALD (similar to kung fu movie , its mostly about the action , Seymour and Kotto were great , nice music) TMWTGG (only good things are Lee , Herve , thai/HK locations otherwise a chore to watch imo) TSWLM (i prefered the scary Jaws , Jurgens is underrated , wonderful locations , Hamlischs music is very good) MR (wonderful locations , plot is pure sci fi , Lonsdale is terrific as Drax , amazing Barry music) FYEO (imo , plot wise this was the best , Bouquet one of the best girls of Moore era ,many would prolly find the villain too low key though , Contis music is underrated and much better than todays generic stuff) OP (Jourdan was good , Bedi very underrated , Berkoff shines , Adams and Wayborn do a fine job) AVTAK (Walken is one of the best Bond villains , the plot is pretty realistic for a Bond , Jones was amazing as MD & sort of a pre 90s Onatopp , wonderful Paris/"Siberia"/Chantilly & SF is nice too , Barrys music is again amazing and thrilling. Bonus point Gray as the sinister dr Mortner , Bauchau is okay too) Last edited by Aloha from Hawaii 73; 07-07-2020 at 01:12 AM. |
