With as many as they're sitting on and their seeming disinterest in utilizing the new format to make a $ or two, I doubt seriously we'll get an physical upgrade from many of the blu-rays they released. I hope I am wrong, but I think we're lucky that MGM licensed out Mad Max for UHD.

Some of the MGMs licensed to TwilightTime are still available at screenarchives for $19.99. They recently had a 20% off sale as well. However they wanted $30 to ship the 14 titles or so I had in my cart. So yeah...and no, please don't turn this into a 'I hate screenarchives shipping' thread even if you do

Honestly, I don't think that much "panic buying" is going on; I'll echo what others have said, in that MOST of the purchases you see when a desirable title goes out of print are likely people going "Crap! That title was on my must-own list, but I didn't get to it yet. Better grab it IMMEDIATELY" (...times a thousand).
NOT scalpers, or "dummies who don't really want the title" just buying out of panic, for the most part. |

My monthly obsessive check on all things ALEXANDER...
Pretty sure all of these are going, going, gone...at least from Warner Bros. (many are still available from secondary sellers). The original Theatrical Cut (with an exclusive Stone + historian Robin Lane Fox audio commentary from that DVD) only made it to BD once in the U.S. - on the box-set version of the "Ultimate Cut" release -- the first title listed here. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Nobody knows if available copies of Lightning Bug will just sit around at relatively low prices, or if they will dry up and become valuable. However, it is always best if you are interested in a disc, to grab one while you can at a good price and don't assume it will always be available for you if you decide you want it at a later date. You did the smart thing, and i also ordered one yesterday.

https://www.amazon.com/Lightning-Bug...6979169&sr=1-4 It's $34 with sales tax now. They have used copies for under $20 shipped, though. |
