Just got a shipping update email. Nothing new, but Jan 25 is still the day these will start to get shipped out. Kinda concerned about them using FedEx as they always leave my packages on my front porch when I'm not home. Will have to text my upstairs neighbor to pick it up so it doesn't get swiped. At least it'll get delivered to Canada relatively quick.

I know it's only been about an hour, but I haven't gotten an email from GKIDS yet. Should I be worried?

There are 5,000 units… which means 5,000 orders to process. I’d relax if I were you. Could be a day or so before you hear anything.

I'm loafing around the house on short-term disability for my chemo treatments, so I should be at home when it's delivered...

Ah, a movie/TV-related spreadsheet. So I'm not the only one.

Well, I bought $11,500 of anime Blu-ray releases just in 2021 - 224 titles, with a more than a third being Limited or Collector's releases I imported from Japan, Hong Kong, and the UK, so a spreadsheet to keep track of my spending is an absolute must. Except, it doesn't seem to work very well on keeping my spending in check, lol...

Wow just in anime?

I buy a lot (too many) movies and shows, although anime makes up a pretty small percent overall. Regardless, my total spending isn't anything like 11K annually.

Make sure you compile some data and gives us some nice charting showing the average price of a disc, etc.

yeah, believe it or not, only anime now - I stopped watching or buying live action movies 5 years ago, and I cut the cord on all television 8 years ago. The last live action Blu-rays I purchased were Dunkirk, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and the Jumangi Welcome to the Jungle sequel, all back in 2017. I grew weary of all the cookie-cutter Hollywood action movies, and now only watch anime, even though I am 60 years old! I don't watch any kiddie anime, battle shonen, comedy anime, or much of anything set in high school, but there is still plenty of anime titles available that are more mature drama anime that have good, deep storylines that will make you think and exercise your brain much more than many of those mindless live action movies.

OK, off-topic long enough. Looking forward to receiving the NGE UE set in about two weeks, since they start shipping out on the 25th. I did get the shipping date email from GKids today.

*Raises hand* I've also got one to keep track of my collection. No idea how many TV series or movies I have as I track things by SKU, so singles take a huge chunk of how many releases I own, also I'm known for double and triple+-dipping on shows and have been doing so for as long as I've been collecting.

That's more than half of what I've spent over the last 11.5 years on domestic releases across multiple formats... I've dropped nearly $21,700 since July 2010.

Nope

I use spreadsheets to keep track of everything: movies, tv series, books, comics, autographs...

My movie sheet is all inclusive, but I identify horror films and assign their subgenres. It makes it easier when building my horror watching list for Halloween season.

TV series I record total seasons, seasons I own, and a current watch list (one season per show) Once my current cycle is done, I make a list for the next cycle, then put it through a randomizer.

Got my Eva UE on 7th Jan (I'm in the UK). I'm a little concerned that those nub things that hold the disc don't look exactly great. Not sure they're built to last. Part of me wants to get one of the standard sets or the zavvi one just as an insurance policy since they have ordinary cases. I thought way too much about this in the run up to release as to whether it was worth getting or not and weighed up all the options, in the end I wanted it for the book more than anything and the different versions of the show.
Just glad it wasn't damaged considering the price. Looking forward to a rewatch soon as it's been ages since I saw the TV series and End of Evangelion.

No I don't mind. It'll be a little bit later this evening as I'm not finished work for another 20 mins or so and may not be able to get right around to it as soon as I finish. Will definitely upload some though.

Can someone tell me what the file upload limit for images is? Was trying to upload some pics of the Ultimate edition for @RIKANA and the forum keeps on giving an error message "upload failed".

^^ If you click on the "Attachments" icon (paperclip) in a new mssg post, it gives the max file size and dimensions for images to upload, dependent on format used (i.e. Jpeg, Gif, BMP, etc)

Regarding spreadsheets; I've been using one for my shows (Blus & DVDs), books and music (LPs & Cds) for many years.

For Films/Shows, I'm up to 3295 'Titles' and there are a LOT of collections/box-sets that only get one title assigned, with a 'Comment' that lists the contents.
My Girl's spreadsheet (I keep on their behalf, since most of their titles come from me, heh) is up to 282 Tiltes.

I also do a copy/paste onto an external SSD drive of the Spreadsheet, plus the pics I take. Just in case my computer ever has a meltdown.

Alternatively you could just host it on an image sharing site like Imgur. I've had nothing but trouble trying to upload images directly to the forum.
