This film was a great, entertaining genre film in the classic style. It's going to be remembrered far in the future as one of the best sequels to Predator. Plenty of great scenes, a ****ign samurai sword fight with a Predator, atmosphere, actual competent photography without shakey cam. This film was done right.
What?? When in the jungles of South America one doesn't need "good acting" or to be an "oscar winner" to fight the Predator! What one needs are muscles and supreme firepower....both of which Arnie has plenty of.
Give me Arnie and his killer one-liners any day of the week & twice on Sunday, over that whelp Brody!
You hear that bomb falling from the sky...that's Adrien Brody's career. He hasn't done squat since The Pianist.
There's an idea: Place that doofus Brody, in the jungle, with the Predator, armed ONLY with a Piano and his nose...then maybe we have something. Until then....

He had a good little role in Midnight in Paris. He was hilarious. Also, many people love the newer King Kong.

I like the newer Kong...it would have been much better had Kong destoyed Brody.

LOL the other night I started watching this and after the first 20 minutes took it off and put on the original Predator Blu Ray. It copies so much why not just watch the original better version?

I like Predators, just as I like the original. Maybe they are similar but still, Predators, to me, was a good flick.

I don't understand this "he doesn't have enough muscles" argument. Have you ever seen actual Navy Seals and other legitimate military tough guys? News flash, they are taking steroids and bulked to the point they can't move around anymore.

Let's just call a spade a spade. You like huge guys on steroids in action movies because of the implied homoeroticism. It turns you on. lol

I enjoyed it at the theaters, watched it twice after that and now it kinda lost it's charm.

I actually like Predators a hell of a lot more than the original. The original feels too cheesy now. Good acting all around in this movie, some funny parts (but not too many) and a good ending. (hopefully setting up a sequel)

Obviously I was having some fun at ADRIEN Brody's expense, definitely not your sons! Please don't think there was any ill intention there!

Yes I have, along with every other person/thing IN REAL LIFE...which is why I like my movies FICTIONAL!! It's called an escape from real life! Last time I checked there weren't PREDATORS from space running around.
So they(military folk) ARE taking steroids, according to you...doesn't that defeat your own argument? As weak as it was.
Yes let's just call a spade a spade, as you seem to be turn on by Adrien Brody...who seems more homoerotic now.
Gheeesh, I really hope you didn't join the debate club!

Has anyone else seen really bad pixelation/ video distortion errors with this disc? I watched this for the second time last week and there were two scenes, roughly in the middle of the movie, that exhibited the above symptoms for 10-15 seconds before the PQ returned to normal.

I played the Blu-ray in my HTPC (Pioneer Blu-ray drive, AMD 4890, and PowerDVD 11).

I didn't notice this the first time I watched the Blu-ray back in January, although I used Total Media Theater to watch it then.

Perhaps I just have a bad disc? Or is this a known issue?

Thanks!

There is some slight brief noise in some of the darker scenes. Is that what you are referring to?

No, this is not anything to do with the transfer or quality of the PQ. The whole screen became squiggles of distorted pixelation and nothing on screen could be made out, although the audio played fine. It was more like if you were playing a VHS tape that was caught in the player as it was playing and everything got mashed up and distorted as a result. Only what I saw with my Predators disc was digital.

Just wondering if there's a batch of bad discs out there, or maybe its my system? I wonder if my system just doesn't handle layer changes well or something.

If it does it on more than one system then you more than likely just have a bad disc.

Sadly, I only have one system to test it on, although I could certainly try it at a friends house.

Yeah, that will definitely confirm whether it is your player or the disc itself.

I can't believe they made a toy out of the worst character in the movie.

I saw that up for preorder at Sideshow, and thought: Was there some sort of mistake here??
