Checking on caps-a-holic, the UK disc did have the grain that the German disc has, so you're probably right.

Watching the Lionsgate Blu-ray of Replicant and...wow. It's DNR riddled garbage. Almost on par with the infamous Predator Ultimate Hunter Edition, as I've never seen Michael Rooker look so damn waxy.

This sucks, because Replicant is such a fun yarn. Here's hoping the PQ on the French double feature with In Hell is better.

It was an early Lionsgate catalog release, back when they were busting their nuts every week and spraying action and horror catalog titles all over the retail aisles, with recycled DVD-era transfers and faux-5.1/7.1 sound mixes.

If you compare Black Water against Van Damme's theatrical output, then yeah, it'll disappoint, but compare it to the usual DTV stuff, and it's perfectly watchable fodder.

I still can't believe Stallone agreed to be in that mess. Not that I'm holding out much hope for it, but at least the third film has a new director.
