And german old disc (not the latest) is overall best PQ from what I have seen. Not sure how the UK ranks.

I think the UK and DE are similar.

But don't take my word for it.

Checking on caps-a-holic, the UK disc did have the grain that the German disc has, so you're probably right.

Do you guys know if 101 Films' transfer of Death Warrant is the same as other companies have used, or is it a much worse transfer, as 101 Films are infamous for?

Watching the Lionsgate Blu-ray of Replicant and...wow. It's DNR riddled garbage. Almost on par with the infamous Predator Ultimate Hunter Edition, as I've never seen Michael Rooker look so damn waxy.

This sucks, because Replicant is such a fun yarn. Here's hoping the PQ on the French double feature with In Hell is better.

It's a mess. I remember it looking overly bright as well.

US or German BD? I prefer the German disc although neither are great. Great movie though! We need this and other JVCD classics on 4K!

It was an early Lionsgate catalog release, back when they were busting their nuts every week and spraying action and horror catalog titles all over the retail aisles, with recycled DVD-era transfers and faux-5.1/7.1 sound mixes.

KICKBOXER also fell victim to this.

Caved and picked up Black Water. Told myself I was gonna wait until it dropped to 10 but I made the mistake of putting it in my hands at Best Buy.

It's far from great, but I'll buy any Van Damme on Blu-ray.

It was just ok. Ton of wasted potential. Needed it for the collection though.

Tons of wasted potential, definitely. But like you, I needed it for the collection.

Sometimes I loathe myself.

If you compare Black Water against Van Damme's theatrical output, then yeah, it'll disappoint, but compare it to the usual DTV stuff, and it's perfectly watchable fodder.

I thought Black Water would've made for a far better Escape Plan 2 than the actual piece of shit we got under that name.

I still can't believe Stallone agreed to be in that mess. Not that I'm holding out much hope for it, but at least the third film has a new director.
