Here's my terrible custom halloween h20 cover, i just scan the back cover, ect. ya know. i just don't like the orange cover. :P if someone makes a better one - post it.

[Show spoiler]

I did use the Halloween font on some stuff. and i was bored and decided to add the "FROM THE..." taglines and stuff.

Williamson's name was removed early on from the film and only appeared on very early posters

All my custom BD covers are shown in this thread. (Starting with those I did for Jurassic Park, my first ever BD covers. I only got into making customs this July. I have done two DVD covers prior to this, apart from the Beta and VHS "customs" I made with pictures from a magazine, a pair of scissors and a gluestick back when I was a kid. Really old-school. I've been toying with scanning them and displaying them here just for fun.)
ahhh... I see I see... just thought I would check and see... I don't download or use a lot of customs... USUALLY only for things that come in box sets like Star Wars or Back to the Future. I've tried my hand at making some... and I've worked and worked and worked but man I just can't get the hang of PhotoShop

I even created an account at EuphoricFX.org in the event that I started making covers but I haven't been able to produce 1 thing that was worthy to be posted anywhere... not giving up just a SLOW moving process... but its still fun to go there and check out others work from time to time though.

Cheers!

I agree with imrahil, threefifty, definitely worth posting there in the WIP section... You will get way more out of PS doing that, than you ever will just fiddling around in the program

Really? Now that you say that, I remember hearing that. But it's on the back of the blu ray release so I was just...yeah

I think you have been mistaken... I haven't posted anything... I tried to recreate the old crappy star wars dvd covers for practice... they turned out like crap. I tried to make some Lord of The Rings covers that looked like book bindings... those ended up looking like dog excrement... I tried to make some harry potter covers using the ultimate edition cover pics and resizing them by shifting some stuff around and those things just looked like I cut up the originals and had my 3 year old niece glue them back together.

Man I have never had this much trouble learning something, I'm usually a quick learner, so MAD PROPS to all you photoshop guys out there doing this

Would you consider posting something? Your best effort? I will be kind, make comments, give you specific Photoshop tips that are relevant to the cover you post. Everyone starts somewhere. I started using Photoshop in 1996 and am still learning new things about it EVERY day.

The covers look great.
Ooh, man. This I gotta clear up. I moved out in 1989 and at this point it is more likely that my widowed mom will move in with me, the missus and the kids than it is the other way around.
I'm one of those rarely-seen-in-the-wild Star Wars fans who doesn't live with his mother. Also, I visit my mother from time to time, good son that I am.

... All in good fun PeterTHX

sure, I can post something, I never finished anything because I decided to go back to the drawing board and started practicing with random pics and stuff just to learn what different things did. then my computer crashed so I lost some stuff that I was working on, recovered some of it, and haven't really touched PS in the last couple months. But I will see what I can dig up

Default Custom-Designed "Harry Potter" Titles

Hey, everyone.

I've been working on these for many hours a day, over the last week, and I think they're finally done. Each one is PNG formatted, and huge; we're talkin' about FOUR FEET each! I purposely left them in black, so folks could add whatever effects they wanted. They're located RIGHT HERE; I hope you enjoy them.

Ever do a photoshop tutorial? I did a bunch of those when I first started, and I still do them now and again to learn new things. The pen tutorial is a MUST.
When I found out what the pen tool was, and then how to use it it wasted HOURS!!!!

This cover image:

Took about 4 hours or so at pixel level

That is awesome. I didn't even know there was artwork like that for the Living Daylights.
