I don't think it was about Florida's D I think it was more LSU offense being horrible. In the first half if LSU would had a little O they could have blown Florida out. They were trying to hid there QB they wouldn't let him pass on 3rd and long you can't win on the road like that.

Yeah I know that. We all saw what happened regardless of whether it counts or not. OK so they're 5-4 and 4-3. Doesn't matter, the point is they aren't bad in bowl games. If you want to say Oklahoma loses bowl games or Virginia Tech that would be more accurate but this myth that the Buckeyes do is ridiculous.

Are you seriously going to count he 2010 Sugar Bowl as a win? The 2010 season Sugar Bowl "win" was vacated due to ineligible players and you know it. Most of the ignorance with regards to Ohio St. actually comes from you, a supposed fan of the program. You might want to leave the OSU football talk to more knowledgable fans like Silo.

Did you not read what I posted. I know it was vacated. I think me being an Ohio State knows what happened with that game.

Man I had no idea that game was "vacated", thanks for the news. Who cares if I counted it for a win or not. The original post/point, which always seems to get lost on this forum is that the guy said OSU doesn't win bowl games and that isn't true.

I should know with your jealousy and hatred of OSU anything good I say about OSU will immediately be met with a post from you trying to counter what I say.

I know it's killing you right now that Ohio State is doing very well right now and has turned it around in such a short period of time. Maybe you can complain about Ohio State's schedule again. That was fun.

Do you even bother reading posts in this thread or just scan through looking for anything anti-OSU said? If you actually read through the thread you'd know the majority of posts mentioning OSU are actually positive.

As for Silo, he doesn't see anything and everything said about OSU in the same light as someone trash talking his mother. You do. It's sad really. If you want a 100% pro-OSU circle-jerk there are plenty of websites that cater to that sort of thing. This isn't one of them.

I don't want to add fuel to the fire, but just wanted to say that I am a Buckeye fan regardless of what others think about Ohio State/ Big Ten. I don't always agree with what is said about Ohio State/ Big Ten and everyone is entitled to their opinions. Just because I don't come here and "blast the haters" doesn't mean I agree with them. I just choose not to debate or bicker back and forth. It doesn't make me less of a fan because I don't respond to negative criticism. Being that I was born and raised in Columbus, OH, it was pretty much a birthright to be a Buckeye fan. Will I support them through thick and thin? Absolutely!! Are they the best team ever? Of course not. I know there's room for improvement. I definately think that Urban Meyer is a good start. I still think that Tressel did a great job while he was there, but just question his thought process that cost him his job.

Say what you will about the Buckeyes. Chances are that you won't sway my opinion. And I realize that anything I say may not sway yours.

Now what I actually came here to say is that only two Big Ten teams are ranked: Ohio St @ #8 and "that team up north" @#25. It would be another minor victory (in my mind) if the Bucks were the only Big Ten team ranked at the end of the season.

I get so tired of the anti-Buckeye nonsense. I don't know why and never will. Ohio St is no different than Notre Dame, USC, Oklahoma. They are big time but some reason ever since they beat the Hurricanes in 02 it's been like vultures circling to get at the Buckeyes. I don't know what the program has done to other people but the mention of Ohio St football and the hate-o-meter comes out like never I've seen before. It's cool. There are a few Buckeye fans here, but not too vocal (myself included). If you look around here long enough, you will find that every team has someone that doesn't care for them. I just don't take things personally when I see something I don't agree with. It's all good though.

Yeah, I figured Army was the worst team in college football when they lost 23-3 to Stony Brook last week but it appears BC may be the worst. BC has a decent shot to go 1-11, as the only potential winnable games left on their schedule are probably Maryland and Wake Forest. I wonder if Frank Spaziani is going to keep his job after this year, because his teams have gotten worse each year he's been head coach, from 8-5 to 7-6 to 4-8 to likely a 1 or 2 win team this year.

First and foremost, you're successful. When you have a successful program, there will always be people wanting to tear it down. Sometimes such a desire comes from jealousy. I don't know about you, but I have never encountered a vocal contingent of Idaho bashers (no disrespect intended to Vandal fans). So Ohio State certainly fits in this category.

Sometimes the venom comes from a sense that the program's success coincides with broken rules, NCAA violations or other things that seem to tip the playing field in its favor. Again, this category applies to the Buckeyes.

Third, I think there is a perception that Ohio State fans feel their program is the greatest ever. I'm not talking about the usual puffery, where even the worst programs hold up foam fingers that declare themselves "Number One." When fans and alumni boast that they're from THE Ohio State University—emphasis on the definite article—that comes off as arrogant. Sometimes the slightest whiff of arrogance is enough draw fire.

Please don't think I'm bashing Ohio State. Every program has its lunatic fringe, and every program has its detractors. But Ohio State has its own particular set of circumstances that seems to invite its own particular type of scorn.

It sounds like Paschall might not be back this season. From the link:

TCU coach Gary Patterson said he was scheduled to meet with Chancellor Victor Boschini today to decide what course of action to take regarding his normal starting QB.

It does not sound as if Pachall is going to be back this season. According to sources, there is intense pressure from the top to uphold this suspension, at the least.

It's mostly the bold. Isn't the biggest determinant of success national championships won? They have exactly one of those since 1970. In that 40+ year span Miami has 5 national titles, USC has 5, Florida has 3, FSU has 2 and Alabama has 6. That's just off the top of my head. I'm sure many other teams have won more than one in that span. Evn their archrival Michigan has the same number in that time.
