My Hokies disappoint yes again. I think we can pretty much throw the 10-win streak out the window at this point. Next up on the chopping block is the bowl streak. Its going to be tough to get 3 more wins, and that is the first time I've ever had to say that.

It's true. They have gotten so bad that the VT/CU game is a noon game and the Duke/UNC game is on at 7.

I'm not sure if that is the reason or if Swofford just likes giving it to the football schools.

Beamer should have been gone a long time ago, I mean look at fulmer 1 big dude of a season out. I'm always shocked VT hasn't dumped him.

Beamer has won 7 conference championships, made 6 BCS bowls, and VT has won at least 10 games the last 8 years. There's few coaches with a track record like that. It's also not like Virginia Tech was a perennial power before Beamer became coach, only making 6 bowl games before Beamer was coach.

Come on its the acc I bet they don't pull that off in pac10 for sure sec and maybe not even big10

VT was nothing before Beamer. He turned the program around they became a national name because of it. He's the winnningest active BCS coach. VT has gone bowling every year since 1993. We've won 10 games every year since 2004. He's extremely consisant and that is why he will never be fired.

On the flip side, he can't win the big game. Just can't do it. He get's outcoached. He get's outplayed. He doesn't have that skill set to get the Hokies to the next level. I hope he reevaluated his date of retirement out of this season. I want a national championship and he can't deliver me that.

I know that means life, but only 30-60 years? That's barely one year per charge he was convicted on. I've heard of people getting that much time for one or two of the charges this guy was convicted on. I was expecting one of those 200+ year sentences here.

Did anyone read the letters Sandusky and his wife sent the judge for sentencing? It's pretty disgusting. Basically in their minds it's a massive conspiracy. He claims complete innocence and repetedly attacks his victims. At one point in the letter he seems to compare his "plight" to that of Rwanda genocide victims. This guy is unbelievable. I honestly think he believes he did nothing wrong and was helping those kids.

He clearly has manipulated his brain into thinking he didn't do anything wrong. The whole ordeal is sad. He ruined many of these men for life because of what he did to some as adolescents. And I still can't believe how many Penn State fans out there continue to think that they got a screw job from the NCAA. It's shocking to me.

That's right man. No 'protected inmate' status. It's okay though, I take great solace in knowing one day he will be ultimately judged for his actions.

Sandusky oddly enough did request being moved to general population in prison awhile back. I'm not sure if he was naive or suicidal but supposedly the request was turned down by officials as they knew he'd never survive a day in general pop.
