Looks like my no country for old men DVD steelbook will be going on eBay!

So stoked on that, Event Horizon and Collateral.

Finally some decent catalog releases getting the steel treatment (in Blu, most of those have had DVD steels)

EDIT: Just remember that amazon.de ship amaray and steelbook and random, and you don't know which one you'll get.

*sigh*

But, not when they're being listed as "Limited Steelbook Edition"

Most of those are Paramount, so expect an FSK logo fixed on the front..

Hey AB, do you know how Paramount got around that with Saving Private Ryan?

We only saw a re-wrapped version with a sticker, but I was wondering if it had be originally packaged with a slip cover.

I dunno, I don't have that one. As far as I'm aware there are legitmate methods of avoiding the UCK (Ultimate Cover Killer)

- Flipper Steels
- O-Rings

And I think the Studio can also apply for an "Exception" in the case of "Limited" Actions (Like this may indeed be). That damned law is so querky that not even the lawmakers still know what they want

We'll just have to wait and see.....

Oh man those are some very nice titles AB.

I definitely want that Transformers steelbook.
Been looking out for a release for a long time.
Tropic thunder is another awesome steelbook.
Would go well with the Hangover.

Ah well....I must resist.
Though I gladly accept gifts you know.....

Well, if that's the case that will make me think twice before I consider purchasing any of these Steelbooks.

I think distributors are taking advantages of the steelbook market now as there seems to be a nice pocket of a market who will buy anything that is blu-ray steelbook, even if they dont really care for the movie.

Is this the decline of steels?

Ahh I see - bummed about the FSK logo - but fingers crossed it doesn't happen.

Don't remember that. I ordered a couple of steelbooks and always got the steelbooks . . . .

amazon.fr is drama, amazon.de not.
