So what'd you get the 2D set? Most 3D owners, just swapped out the BRs and put it in the Best Buy steelbook while keeping the DVDs in the amaray. Thats what I did

So, the steelbook drops the DVD but keeps the 3D BD and 2D BD as two separate discs? That's kind of what it sounds like if it's 3 discs.

Well, remember, this set contains a second BD that's full of special features. So, if it's a three disc set in this steelbook, no way they'd drop the BD special features disc for the DVD. No way.

This will be my first set that is just bd, no DVD. Like the avengers I custom put together. That was Bby steel, 3d, bd, target bd bonus, all rest sold.

Yeah that sucks but I am still getting the regular 3D set with all 4 discs included & then the walmart exclusive on top of the steelbook so I will have like 2 dvd copies of Amazing Spider-Man by the time I get all my orders in.

The Dark Knight Rises Steelbook is getting a 4 disc set at the same price as the Amazing Spider-Man that will contain less discs.

hmmm...the fact that the steelie doesnt have a dvd does makes me think twice. sad i know, but i have gotten use to lending out the dvd copy of movies. but that steelie is damn sweet.

I was just wondering (and I don't know if it has been answered) but is the steelbook going to be a pre-order ala Ghost Rider SOV or just comes out same day as release?

Great, I hate getting DVD's and DC's because its just two discs that are a waste of resources and are never used IMO.

The Amazing Spider-Man Steelbook comes out the same day as the regular releases with discs already inside it.

There is no telling what it will actually be given The Avengers bonus disc was advertised as being a dvd & ended up being a bluray disc. When you zoom in on the Amazing Spider-Man 3D set with bonus disc it has DVD printed on it & not bluray.

I take it The Amazing Spider-Man Steelbook will be only a BB only? And Target will not be offering this? If not I may stick with BB. Also what is the 5 disc from Target...A Hero will Rise? Never heard of it.

Yes, BBY only for the steelie. Not sure what the Target one is.

Using recent steelbook exclusives, or any recent BB exclusive FTM, there might not be any left for Black Friday. Unless they restock.

One reason Im glad for the steel is bc I hate the look of Sony 3D cases. I dont like the fact that they are clear instead of blue like the rest. it bothers me. I think the coverart for the 3D set is the best but the case ruins it for me. Bc of that I overall prefer the look of the steel

This. I wouldn't risk not getting one especially since this is a high profile film. Even if it did go on sale on BF, you'd still be within the 30 day return period so I'd pick one up at the release sale price just in case they don't restock
