I forgot how hard the 2009 remake fell at the box office. A second weekend -80.4% drop. And the opening weekend was 62% of its overall gross. Most films, even terrible ones, still manage to make 2x their opening weekends.

The Bye Bye Man is having a similar box office run.

I hope this to be good as the original one (or good as the remake, which I like).
Just love the third act of it, with the cat and mouse game between Alice and Mrs. Voorhees.

Great to hear things may finally be ramping up. Being the 13th in the franchise, this better be something special.

Casting call for a young jason, but they're looking for twins?? Maybe the kid that drowned in the lake may not have been jason, but his brother???

Guessing it's just a way to get over child labor laws and all that.

Yup common practice with actors below a certain age, I doubt they would just invent a brother at this point.

Exactly, it's just Bloody-Disgusting being Bloody-disgusting and nothing more. Making crap up to get people talking.

Lot's of shows/movies hire twins for kid roles. Nothing new. I also don't seem them adding a twin brother all of a sudden.

I'm confused. If Jason will be a kid in this one, then who will be the killer? Both Jason and his mom didn't start killing until Jason supposedly "drowned".

It's probably just for flashback sequences since (supposedly) they plan to introduce his father.

Yeah, they had plans for Jason's father to be the killer in part V, and he also made appearances in the Friday the 13th comics as well. So it would interesting to see what they do to Jason's father in his film debut. But at the same time, if they make him into another killer, then this movie will basically be a remake of part V.

It starts filming in March and will be coming out in October that's a pretty quick turnaround so hopefully there aren't any delays with this or could push it back again but i'm looking forward to this either way still a big fan of all the films even if they have flaws or are just pretty bad overall too.

That's an interesting direction. It'd be kind of cool to start a new trilogy of sorts with a Voorhees as a protagonist.

Horror just isn't the same without at least one film from the big 3 coming out each year.
