Yes but, where does it say Digibook? All I can see is that it just says "with Storybook".

Hopefully, dude. We just got the standard definition with 101 Dalmations, but a lenticular slipcover with Big Hero 6.

Disney is weird. No Exclusives for Iron Man 3 or Maleficent, two of their bigger grossing titles during the past couple of years, but Exclusives for movies that grossed less money.

All of the past releases have said the same thing. The Jungle Book and The Sleeping Beauty were the last two that came out and did receive separate storybooks rather than a Digibook, but if you compare the images to those, with the older Disney Diigbooks, you'll see Aladdin lines up closer with the older ones.

Notice how The Jungle Book and Sleeping Beauty show their standard BD packaging, with a blue BD case inside, Both of those also included a singalong CD.

The previous releases that were actual Digibooks had unique cover images that weren't identical to the standard BD releases. As you can see, the same holds true for this Target release of Aladdin. Notice the design of the title is also identical too. Finalyl if you look at the top of the book in the Aladdin pic, you can see it's not a blue BD case, but rather pages inside. So while it's not 100% guaranteed to be a Digibook at this point, I'd say it's a pretty sure bet.

Quick question: How reliable are finding these in stores on release day? Or should I order online.

sucks since there have been several disney films that missed getting the target digibook treatment. hopefully disgruntled parents dont do it again for us on future releases.

Those are not stills from the movie though. They are images created for the storybook.

BestBuy.com now has the Lenticular slipcover edition available to preorder for shipping. Haven't found a image of it yet though.

Best Buy recently added a change delivery to store pickup option for placed orders, so it may be possible to change it to store pickup later when it becomes available (note that using the change option won't work till Best Buy is taking pick up preorders).

I'm not a fan of digibooks overall. But I do like the coloring and so forth of the artwork on this more so than the regular release with the silver coloring and the characters coming out of the oval on the front cover.

I've really never liked those Disney oval covers like that (they just look crappy IMO). It was nice when they had a BD+DVD+DC combo pack with the oval and then a BD+DVD pack with the more normal artwork. Since I don't care about the digital copies, I could just get the artwork that I preferred. But now it seemd Aladdin will only come in the one type of combo pack. But I'll likely still get that one since it will line up with my other Disney movies. BAH!!!

Well, get the Best Buy exclusive Lenticular slipcover edition. Sure, we don't have the picture of it yet, but it's very unlikely to be a oval cover.

Gonna get the digibook over the lenti slip (unless the digibook turns out not to be a digibook). Just kinda pissed that BB didn't do a lenti for 101 Dalmatians... why did they skip that one?
