This is the description from the Zavvi page:
Decades before blockbuster Extended Cuts were common, Superman proved a true "Man of Tomorrow." Superman: The Movie received an ahead-of-its-time makeover for its television premiere - nearly 40 more minutes of story, creating a two-night television event. Audiences had already been swept off their feet by Christopher Reeve's Last Son of Krypton, and now there was more to enjoy. Unseen in decades, this version is paired here with Richard Donner's definitive vision of his film, the Special Edition Director's Cut (2000), to create a supersized celebration of Metropolis' favourite son that preserves the director's intent while feeding superfan demands.

Does this mean the 4K edition will include just the Donner's cut and the Extended tv cut..??

That makes no sense. I would assume all 3 cuts might be on there with seamless branching.

I don't even see 'Superman' listed on Zavvi's website

I didn't read the entire thread but, is this being released in the U.S, or overseas? The reason why I'm asking is, I just bought the Blu-ray boxset (used) this past weekend.

Both. I already created a database link, with the US UPC code. It's waiting to be approved.

They've just copied and pasted the description from the extended cut BD which is getting a UK release soon.

Ok, so maybe we could get a 4K disc with the theatrical cut, and the extra blu-ray with the Extended/Director's cuts??

That would make this the definitive edition for sure.

I doubt the extended cut might have had the 4K treatment. Maybe the Director's Cut, but I remember the source material was inferior to one they used for the theatricul cut remaster years ago.

Yeah I think it was a 16mm master. But people seemed to like the colors better.

I think the cover shown on HMV might actually be the US cover. British Warner releases normally have Digital Download written on the 4K banner. Nice to see that it is listing Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos as well.

so how close are the UK releases when compared to the US - if November is the release month - shouldn't Warners have released an official press release already ??
