Presentation still not done. Maybe cuz I spent two and a half hours cleaning my HT room as well. I'll get to my report on the Sub10 tomorrow morning.
It is not my fault. Blu Titan is the one who initially talked about Cuban desserts. Does this mean that we will get Peruvian desserts instead of Cuban desserts?

awwww, listen to those architect terms....so cute. Just giving you crap! I am surprised you got a 10" though, thought you might step outside yourself and go for a 12". I'm contemplating many setups in my head right now. One would be a sub in every flavor from 15" to 6", and the other is getting a 15" and a 10", and that's it....bypass the 12" all together. I'll have to do some digging and see if anyone, anywhere, has a similar setup.

Eh, a pair of 10s seem to suit just fine. I don't think a 12" would've fit into that little space anyway.

Acute angle is an architecture term?! You been drinkin, liquid? We gonna argue some more?

your a trip. No more fighting....or debating sounds better. I'm seriously considering a 10" sub, I'm just wondering how much low end I'd be missing out on, if any at all. There has to be some compromise going from 12" to 10". JJ, side question, have you used AutoCad 2010? I'm not even sure if it's out yet, or if that's something your even into.

No, I'm still running on AutoCAD 06 and 07. 07 acts like a b**** with Vista, so I use 06 - and I've been too lazy to upgrade, which here at architecture schools, there's always a few students with bootleg copies. All the campus computer labs have the latest CAD though, I think they're on 09 still.

I would say size is my biggest difference. I'm not one for PzKpfW-VI sized subs. I prefer to keep mine around 0'-12" cubed, thanks. What's a Hertz or two?

Although ironically, according to the website, all three from 10" to 15" have the same freq response, 20-250 Hz.

yeah, I noticed that about the HZ. Then again, my 6" sub can do 20HZ too, but of course the port chuffing sounds like a dog in heat. I think I'm going to destroy my 6" today, rip the grill off (it's somehow permanently attached), and shove some poly fill in there.

quite impressive liquid that your 6 incher can handle 20hz, but not enough of a good reason to avoid buying the 12 incher to blow things into a new proportion.

just a thought on your Birthday.

Don't even get me started with 09 and vista. 09 is super buggy and Vista is a joke of an operating system any way! I loved 07 on XP, never used 06 and 08 is pretty much the same as 07.

hmmm...wonder if my current 12" would be jealous and start pouting...or maybe show off some more? We'll see, I'm gonna sit on this for awhile. JJ, where is your review of your sub, very curious to know what you think.

Big Daddy won't that depend which port the sound comes out?

Oh my....a freak accident with my subwoofer today. Since repositioning it towards the sides, having it several feet away from the wall... bass has been phenomenal but an unusual and unfortunate situation....

I saw both my shitzu's going towards the side chairs (subwoofer is between) near the window and saw a cat (they don't jump towards the window like this) and both dogs started barking at the cat and accidentally pushed each other off.

They fell towards the back of my subwoofer and I immediately looked at the subwoofer. They fell on the RG6 coaxial and the whole output snapped out.

The gold output and white ring busted off and noticed the black plastic that held it in place is broken off. Granted, I have another left input but I'm very ticked off. I could snap the gold thing back in and the white ring...tested to see if the RG6 plugged into the busted output still works and it does but not sure if that missing black plastic piece will lead to any sound loss.

It's one thing to worry about my toddler, now I have to worry about my two dogs around my HT setup....(Sigh)

Sorry to hear that. Computers, cameras, audio/video equipment do not mix well with wives, children, pets, and neighbors.

+1, my dogs are not allowed near my HT setup. Puppies + wires and expensive TV = bad news

That was why I was surprised because they never go near the window...but they started trying to balance themselves on the window ledge and realized there was not room for both of them and both took a fall with one of them falling right on the back of the subwoofer (landing on the coaxial input) and busting it off.

It's working as I attached the gold input back in but the plastic sealing inside is cracked off. I could still use the other input but for the broken one that is still working, because of the fact the plastic piece has broken off...would that result in audio loss? Or is audio pretty much the contact with the RG6 gold input (middle) and inside the connection through the hole or what is outside that holds the connector firmly in place? Sorry for the technical question.

Ok, ok, once I get home from class, I'll finally put in my report of the Sub10. Took so dang long. It's in my head. Just had to have the proper verbiage for it.

I'm still amazed that a little dog managed to break the connector. Hate to ask but ... is it cheaply made or something? I think I'd beat the snot outta my dog if he did that.

Your sound should still be ok. You may still want to use a Y adapter and use both inputs. Get some electrical tape to hold the cables firmly and seal the area.

I think they landed on top of the RG6 connector pretty hard...shitzu's are small but I'm not sure which or if both fell on it at the same time. They even shut off the subwoofer switch, so the way they fell off... they showed no pain....just me in shock (yeah, I went to the subwoofer first not my dogs to see if it was ok) after I saw the gold input and white ring and broken black plastic on the floor.

Thanks BD! For the help!!!!

Yeah, one thing I also realized that I get scared now with the front woofer grill....my six year old, no matter how many times I told him not to...I've caught him sitting on it like a chair with his heels towards the grill.

Man, would love to hear stories how owners make their HT system child/dog proof. I try not to sweat the small stuff but made me realize...if I did purchase a $700-$1,000 subwoofer, I would be crying if it was destroyed.

So, in a way...it is a positive to find a very good subwoofer at a lower price range if you have kids or pets, so the sting is not hard if your hardware gets totally thrashed.

I completely understand, the other night I was picking up the house and was looking for some of my 2 daughters cups and just happened to look at the side of the couch and something caught my eye behind the right front speakers, and I reached down and picked it up and was like, Where the F*** did insulation come from.... then it swept over me that its from the SUB... WRONG, it was from my Energy Tower, she reached throught the Port hole.... OH, did I yell at the girls, they know better too, and that is what really got me mad, so I had to take off the grill then the undo the speaker and pop that out(not easy) and then had my wife reposition the insulation in the speaker(I remember from the initial inspection when I got them) and then put it back together.....
