I watched White Haired Witch of Luna Kingdom 3D twice and I thoroughly enjoyed it both times. It's immersive and captivating with good action scenes, great characters and a decent love story subplot. I rate the 3D quality 4 out of 5.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Sword of Destiny 3D has a good story and lots of action - very entertaining but not even close to the masterpiece it attempts to sequel. Donnie Yen and Michelle Yeoh = I rate the 3D quality 4 out of 5.

Ice man 3D occasionally had me on the edge of my seat. Love the fight sequences. Donnie Yen = The odd thing about this movie is that it feels like only HALF a movie. Clearly it was designed to have a sequel, but it seems unlikely to happen. I rate the 3D quality 3.5 out of 5.

Rise of The Legend 3D has loads of action and fight sequences. Again, I was on the edge of my seat most of the movie. Eddie Peng delivers a kick ass performance (literally). Very enjoyable movie. I rate the 3D quality 3.75 out of 5.

I already watched Monkey King 2 3D twice and again it's an immersive and captivating movie with excellent battles laced with incredible special effects. It's not quite as good as the first Monkey King, but it delivers a fun ride - especially in 3D. The characters are all excellent. I rate the 3D quality 4 out of 5.

I still need to find a moment to view The Mermaid 3D.

I must proclaim that many Asian 3D movies are excellent. In addition to the above 3D movies, I have the following Asian 3D blu-rays in my collection and I am glad to have all of them:

Tai Chi Zero 3D
Tai Chi Hero 3D
Flying Swords of Dragon Gate 3D
Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon 3D
The Taking of Tiger Mountain 3D
Monster Hunt 3D

En route from Yes Asia is Sword Master 3D (should be here next week).
Preordered from Amazon Germany: Mojin: The Lost Legend 3D (release date: March 17, 2017).

If I am missing any "must have" Asian 3D movies, please let me know.

If you don't mind foreign language films and reading subtitles, I recommend all of these 3D movies (except for The Mermaid, Sword Master and Mojin: The Lost Legend since I haven't viewed them yet). I believe you can purchase most of these 3D blu-rays from DDDhouse or YesAsia. Just make sure to read the descriptions well to be certain you are ordering the 3D blu-ray and not the 2D blu-ray.

I figure if I watch these excellent Asian movies enough times I will eventually become fluent in Cantonese, and perhaps pick up some basic martial arts moves.

Sex and Zen Extreme Ecstasy, The Four II, The Four III, Zhong Kui Snow Girl And The Dark Crystal but maybe my opinion is to be taken under advisement because I "must have" them all... Dark Flight, Sadako 3D, Dragon Blade, Painted Skin The Resurrection, Mr Go, Wolf Warrior, Call of Heroes, The Protector 2...

Its not martial arts, but I'm quite fond of Stand by Me Doraemon and its 3D.

Watched Pan, first Ninja Turtles, and most recently, Dark Flight.

All were great for 3D. Wife loved the story in Pan and wishes there was a sequel. Dark Flight was surprisingly good in terms of 3D. Looks to be natively shot with occasional pop outs. The story is gripping although not scary or clever. Some of the plane scenes from the outside liked very very dimensional and made me a little dizzy in how realistic it felt flying beside the plane for long long stretches. Good purchase from yes Asia, esp for under 10 bucks.

I have both dark flight and sadako 2 coming from dddhouse, should have both of them coming to me in the mail. yeah, dark flight was really cheap especially for a 3d title.

Over the past week we watched all 3 Kung Fu Panda movies and they looked great in 3d. Plenty of depth with some beautiful colors and fun story.

almost all of the Dreamworks 3D animated movies are awesome. i just watched all the Kung Fu Panda's, How to Train Your Dragon's, Madagascar's, Puss in Boots, and Megamind the past couple weeks, and i sat awestruck with a big grin on my face through all of them. Puss in Boots was a surprise favorite.

they blow Pixar and Disney out of the water, imho.

I was surprised how good the 3d was in puss in Boots as well. One of those movies that I thought would be terrible but the 3d made it worth watching.

Easily one of the best 10 3D blu-ray ever. Gorgeous.

Default Static

I watched Static this morning. The 3d was pretty good. I have two criticisms of the movie, one of which I'll refrain from describing as it would be a spoiler for those who haven't seen it. My main gripe is that the characters spent a good portion of the film whispering and the subtitles didn't work. I made the mistake of cranking up the volume only to be blasted by some sound effects.

Ant Man a couple of days ago. Not a very good 3D effort IMO.

Going to watch The Martian in 3D later this afternoon. (No Superbowl swill in this house)

I watched The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water 3D again last night.

This movie, besides having great 3D, is outrageously crazy. The 3D time travel scenes are among the best 3D I've seen. Great pop-outs throughout. 5/5

I watched Gravity last night. The scene where her tear floats out of the screen was phenomenal!

Did you see it/enjoy it in 2D? I saw it in theaters in 2D and was pretty bored by the movie itself, but keep debating whether it's worth a home 3D purchase.

I have not seen the 2D version. I watched it in 3D in the theater also which prompted me to get the 3D blu-ray. It's on sale right now for less than $13 and you get the 2D and 3D versions. I'm not the biggest fan of 3D but this and Avater are excellent. I'm sure you'd enjoy the 3D version better than the 2D and would encourage you to try it, especially if you enjoy the 3D experience.

I remembered being impressed with the 3d in the theater with this film, definitely made with 3d in mind.

i have a feeling i'm in the minority, but i don't think it's worth buying. when i watched it in the theater i thought the 3D was great, but the story and acting were ho-hum. i bought it for home thinking the 3D would captivate me again, but it wasn't worth having to sit through the story/acting again.
