No, those aren't the real numbers. Let's see if anyone recognizes them.

No, it won't affect you IW copy. That is just the standard email you when InstaWatch is completed is processing and searching for lower advertised prices for eligible items for the savings catcher feature. The only way the IW copy is affected is when you return the item on the receipt.

While I was at Walmart earlier, I saw an endcap with Ghostbusters movie money, but these all also came with a Ghostbusters patch that you put on you shirt or backpack. My store didn't have but a few BDs on the endcap (Pixela, Hotel Transylvania 1/2 and Ghostbusters 1/2).

It's the regular WM app, and then you scan your receipt in the Savings Catcher section.

Saving Catcher won't match dvd/Blu-Ray products. I found this out the hard way when I bought the X-Files Event Series. It was on my way to work that morning, so I figured I'd buy it and get the $7 difference via Savings Catcher. Well, it didn't match anything besides a Mountain Dew Kickstart can - woohoo, 28 cents! -, so I sent them a message on the Savings Catcher part of the website and got an e-mail a few days later stating that they didn't match dvd's or Blu's. I guess it was in the fine print that NO ONE READS! Lesson learned. You win this time, Wal-Mart!

Not anymore I think. WM have stopped PM'ing in select stores and will probably roll that out into all stores in the future. I don't think the saving catcher ever did anything other then food. Or maybe it did at one time. I don't think it did movies though.

They will still price matched, but only thru the savings catcher feature, I think. If the no PMing goes company wide, and they don't update the list of eligible items featured, or they do away with Savings Catcher, then we have our answer to whether they are completely rid of all PMing, instead of getting of those the commit fraud and abuse the PMing policy.

Here is what is in their FAQs about matching:

Savings Catcher currently applies to:
Groceries such as pantry staples including cereal, chips, rice, yogurt, milk, and frozen foods (must be identical and match UPC to UPC)
Consumable items such as paper towels, bleach, and trash bags
Health and beauty items such as shampoo and makeup

Isn't eligible:

Savings Catcher currently does NOT apply to:
Any food, consumables, or health & wellness items that do not meet the eligibility criteria above (See section “Does Savings Catcher compare all items on my receipt?”)
Items purchased and paid for with WIC benefits
Produce
Items sold in the Bakery department
Fresh or variable weight meat
Items sold in the Deli department
Seafood

I snagged of The Purge and The Purge: Anarchy out of the bin yesterday. Scanned the receipts when I got home from work and they were both instantly in my Vudu account, so obviously they do have Instawatch. They also each come with a code sheet. I will probably watch them this weekend if I have time.

Just picked this up after a few minutes of digging. Almost bought the DVD for $5 so many times that $7.88 for the Blu is a no-brainer.



Let's see how well Instawatch works this time with the Blu + some groceries.

Instawatch always takes hours to work for me. Though I have to enter them through the website since I don't have a phone with a scanner, so I guess it's faster when you scan.
Savings Catcher is pretty great if you regularly shop for groceries at Walmart, but I wish it was separate from the Instawatch program.

Anyone had luck with any of the recent Warner Instawatch titles yet? It's been a month since I emailed VUDU about 2001 and The Raven.

Yesterday I went to Wal-Mart look at $7.88 Blu-ray bin and it finally got Howard the Duck (there plenty of copy of it) in the bin and I'm so happy to get it and also finally includes Sun, Sand & Sweat 4 Movie Collection in the bin and I also got it too. And also I pick up Grumpy Old Men / Grumpier Old Men Double Feature too. So I just pick up Neighbors (not from the $7.88 Blu-ray bin) $10.

For anyone who bought the John Wayne movies Rio Bravo, Cahill U.S. Marshal, and The Train Robbers in the bin last year, do you remember if they came with IW and UV, or just IW? I'm asking because I didn't bother with IW then and obviously can't find the receipt now (even though I saved a lot of other useless receipts - God knows why). The OP lists IW only for two of them but the Blu-ray.com listing also lists UV for two of them (I believe Train Robbers doesn't have anything, but correct me if I'm wrong).

BTW, what happens if you scan really old receipts (even before the advent of IW) - any chance of getting digital copies out of them?

I repurchased Troy (Director's Cut) since walmart.com has it for $6.99 and wanted to give IW another try (was able to price match). I re-scanned my original receipt for $7.88 multiple times but never got IW. After scanning my new receipt, it gave IW immediately! The IW is also Director's Cut.



I have a feeling that all June 2016 titles are finally giving IW. Might have to repurchase the ones I bought earlier.

If the particular UPC code is now eligible for IW, you will get it.
