According to Funimation UK (Crunchyroll Manga Entertainment Ltd) and Amazon UK, yesterday was the date of the UK re-release of Evangelion 1.11 and 2.22 on Blu-ray.

However, so far no new legit copies surfaced.
At least one user who pre-ordered received a copy with the old Manga UK logo, old Funimation logos, old and now illegal BBFC ratings...
So either they found some overstock of the old release, that went OOP 6 years ago, or something has gone wrong.

-> if it was just overstock, it may run out quickly. Some used copies are available for cheap
-> if they did a new print run with illegal BBFC ratings etc, it might end up in a recall

1.11 is currently listed OOS on Amazon UK

Still in stock at Anime on Line

The End of Evangelion is 25 years old today.
Happy birthday to such an unhappy movie

You should probably cut your losses and move on. It's been several months since it came out now, companies don't make it policy to keep handing out disc replacements.

A few years ago I was able to get replacement discs for the House of Five Leaves Premium set from NIS America, which they had done the replacement program 5 years before! The original discs had mono audio when they should have been stereo. I had even bought the set secondhand in a private sale, so I wasn't the original purchaser, and they still sent the replacements to me. I really got lucky on that one!

I think that's makes you the exception though, not the rule haha.

If the product is straight up faulty though, I'd rather badger them in the hopes they do something about it, rather than just let them get away with it, especially for a limited edition product.

I totally hear you. The Ultimate Edition of Evangelion has been botched to say the least now that we've had time to reflect on all that has happened. (loose discs, missing subs bonus features, low quality packaging)

It's especially frustrating when South Korea's and Dybex LE's were nicer (especially the cover art) and weren't prone to breaking or loose discs. (that I could find anyway) The packaging and contents were also more premium...

God, I'm so jealous of that Spear of Longinus Piece, looks really cool.
Feelin' like a clown over here with my lanyard and paperweight lol

I definitely would have preferred the spear over the paperweight. The lanyard would have been cool if it was actually plastic and not just a piece of paper.

The Dynit set at least gave me Misato's cross, made of of steel too.

Meh, I couldn't care less about either. I'd just as soon give away or toss that paperweight and lanyard from my Ultimate set, that's just more useless drivel I don't need or want. But then that destroys the resale value for my kids once I kick the bucket, and with my age and health condition, isn't that many years off.

Also cool. So far the best thing I've gotten was the parking sticker that was in the original Platinum release. That was on my car for many years.

True, the price would definitely be far less without them. Ive sold the DVD copies from most of my sets so I guess I've already ruined that for my son, lol.

Was finally getting around to ripping my CE to my PC and I was wondering if the video bitrate for the ADV and Netflix Blu-rays the same or different? I was planning on muxing the ADV audio and subs along with the preexisting video i have to make a "super file."

Same, except it was on a '95 Sunfire. It was right next to all my real parking stickers, so quite a few people thought it was legit, lol. Eventually I had to take that car to the junkyard and forgot to get it off before it was too late.

You know what would have been awesome? If they worked out a deal to have this art piece mass-produced as a special pack-in. I'd go all in.

Call me crazy, but I don't think the MPAA even WATCHED Jaws when they slapped the PG rating on that movie.

The PG-13 rating didn't exist when Jaws was released in 1975. PG-13 was added in 1984. It was either rate it PG or rate it R.
