BYU could not hold on to it. They need to change the coaching at BYU. Either The head coach or the offensive coordinator need to be changed.

Mississippi St. had a very easy draw for their first 7 games of the year. They'll get a rude awakening this week when they're @ Alabama. And after that they have Texas A&M and LSU.

If Florida beats Georgia this week they'll almost certainly go into the final game @ Florida St. with an undefeated record.

The way UGA looked against UK it's likely that will be the case. I know it's a rival game anything can happen, it seems like the Gators try to blow them out ever since they pulled that little stunt when the whole team ran out on the field after they scored.

FL pounds UGA. UGA is a soft bunch of talented football players. Richt is so much like Tommy Bowden, and his team plays that way, that he should have been fired 2 or 3 years ago. That is UGA. He should have already had a BSC Championship. He has done more than Bowden and did win a conference title but he can't beat Florida and USC has now taken UGA's place in the east.

Yeah, UGA has a pretty poor D as a whole. Just ask Tennessee.

Tennessee sucks. What's your point? You disagree that UGA is soft and hasn't beat a real team in 2 or 3 years and that UGA, who has had 10 years of top 10 recruiting classes, has not under achieved under Richt? Even as a GT fan you know Richt is mediocre at best. Hell you guys beat him once, right? If GT beats UGA then you know the coach sucks and should be fired.

Where did I ever disagree with you? I said their D is bad, and you can ask Tennessee (who put up 44 points on them).

My bad. I'm getting a little type happy today. My comments about GT stand though.

The same can be said for a GT coach that lets Clemson win

The GT-UGA series is closer than the GT-Clemson series.

So how do the polls justify Oregon being #2 over Florida? Florida is top 10 in strength of schedule. Oregon's schedule is in the bottom third, 70-something in D1 football and their defense is horrible. As much heat as the computer polls get I'll get they get it right here and Florida is #2 in the BCS rankings with Kansas St. 3rd and Oregon 4th.

It's because the polls are released so early. They need to hold off on polls until after week 6 at least. Once you're a top 2 team, you're pretty much stuck there unless you lose or the other team gets beat by either the 3 or 4.

But then we'd only be able to ***** about the coaches/AP poll

I know it'll never happen but week 6 for coaches/AP and 10 for the BCS would be ok by me. One of the big problems with the polling now is guys look at whatnthey said last week and vote. Teams shouldnt have a big drop after losing to a top 5 team if they are ranked in the teens. The top 5 team should win. Voters dont look at those things. Make vote for the first time later, maybe that wil liit the impact of ND in the top 10 at the start of every year

New BCS rankings are out. Exactly as expected. Florida solidified their #2 spot and Kansas St. passed Oregon for #3 thanks to a quality win.

1. Alabama - .9625
2. Florida - .9310
3. Kansas St. - .9111
4. Oregon - .8966
5. Notre Dame - .8512
6. LSU - .7862
7. Oregon St. - .7421
8. Oklahoma - .7126
9. USC - .5767
10. Georgia - .5379

Computer rankings are strange. They have it: 1. Florida, 2. Kansas St., 3. Notre Dame, 4. Alabama, 5. Oregon St.

Really these rankings don't mean anything right now because if K St and Oregon both win out Oregon will leap back over them. Oregon play's better team's in the next few weeks and the big factor no big 12 championship game. The team they need to worry about is ND because I don't see an unbeaten ND being left out. The SEC will play it self out.

Do you honestly think Oregon is going to run the table? That'll mean winning all of these games.

@ USC
vs. Stanford
@ Oregon St.
Pac-12 Title game (USC again?)

I have a hard time seeing that happening. Same with Notre Dame. The Irish aren't going to win both @ Oklahoma and @ USC.

To be honest no. I only see maybe one team being unbeaten and that will be Alabama and that's only because who they have left to play. I don't see Miss St beating them at home and LSU offense is horrible they will be favored in all there remaining games. Florida look's real good on Defense but there offense not so much don't get me wrong they can run the heck out of the ball. I think they need to be more balance to beat Bama.

I also think Alabama will be the only major conference team to run the table. That's discounting the Big East, which really isn't a major conference anymore despite it's BCS status. I do think either Louisville or Rutgers goes undefeated, but it won't matter as neither plays a tough enough schedule to make a national title game. Ohio St. may go undefeated too, but obviously they're on probation.

My best guess is it'll be the SEC champion, likely Alabama vs. some 1-loss team in the national title game. And more likely than not that 1-loss team will be controversial as there will probably be several with a legit argument for the #2 spot.

I think Kansas State can run the table. Their two remaining ranked opponents they both get at home (Texas and Texas Tech).

I admit there's no gimme left in the schedule though (Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, @Baylor, @TCU)
