Got mine from Amazon this morning and the only flaw was the same small rip on the spine of the artwork that you guys are taking about. Everything was factory sealed so it must be a production problem. I did notice back with the Corruption release that the artwork is slightly too big heightwise for the bluray case; its also the case with this release as well.

There is no markings on the actual plastic case, just the sleeve itself with the small tear. Must have been a manufacturing issue. ![]() |

Is this movie a good one for the family? I heard this one has a great message about the closeness of friendship, and thought it would be a good one to view with my family at Christmas.

Work together. Live together. Cook together. Rape together. Abuse together, Die together. Be eaten together. It's the best film about the importance of friendship that I've ever seen. The ultimate message to be taken from this film is that peace can be achieved through friendship. Unfortunately, the film makers were unable to make friends with the cannibals because the film makers were dicks. Last edited by AlexIlDottore; 07-30-2014 at 02:56 PM. |

True story - Bubba Ho Tep was family night dinner film when we were caring for my 75-year old mother, who basically stopped going to movies in the late '60s and preferred Cary Grant and Gone with the Wind type movies. My wife, brother and I had never seen the film or knew much about it; we figured it would be more in line with Army of Darkness-style humor (and rating). Dealing with two old guys in a nursing home we felt would be age-appropriate for our mom.
She actually handled it pretty well - a testament to the chemistry between Ossie Davis and Bruce Campbell. Peter (who missed out on the Cannibal Holocaust deal by just minutes; had it in my shopping cart and debating if I should hold out another price drop and weighing if I wanted to sell off my copy of the soundtrack to help justify the purchase). |

I just finished watching it. Based on what I read, I thought it was going to be better. In my opinion it was 0.5% awesome, 0.5% offensive, and 99% boring.
[Show spoiler] I was bored the majority of the time. I was hoping for a film that would offend me, I was looking forward to it, and when I actually saw it all I thought was "why was this banned in the first place?" I thought this would be great, and it let me down. |
