That’s a good point. Still holding back Dead Pit and throwing it in with stuff and knocking the price down.

Maybe they’ll get a random CR title like they did with Zombie Nightmare and I can feel better about a purchase.

I do too. I pulled the trigger. Had to hold off on other 2 because of the VS bundle but it will be nice to have this one in my collection.

I'll make it simple, I don't care about the deluxe slipcover. Do you think DF will release it later w/o it for less?
Price has never stopped me before (until now).

Price stops me often. I can't go over $25 per release, if the release is both limited and very special. If it is limited but not a special film, $20. If it is special but not limited, $20. Usually the limit is $15 per film. $40 for a three film package set. $50 for a four film package set. The Indicator beauty that's on the way ran me just about $50 for FIVE films, since I placed it in an order where it raised the shipping by something like a half a pound, and pre-ordered, and did so at a low exchange, and Amazon UK pre-charged. At most, their singles run me $20.... My house has rules.... Lots of rules.

So, maybe I'll pick up the disc off ebay in a year, from someone keeping the slipcover.

I’m going to roll the dice and say yes. Remove all the CR titles from their store and main leg of their business are the drive-in movies, seemingly always in stock.

I think once the initial market for people who want the glow cover dries up, they’ll sell it without, cheaper.

Five minutes ago, they still had 72 left out of 100 GOH/PFT. I know it's early but still very surprising!

Yeah, I checked myself too. I think between the price and Scorpion releasing GoH, there isn’t going to be high demand for this as is. Meanwhile, equal number of people are saying they’d get this without the slip, so I think it’ll happen!

I did til now, thanks.

Just looked at the FB clip,
and took matching grabs from the Code Red DVD
so I could prepare myself for the modern digital marvel that is demon's extensive color correction.

New scan?

Upscale??
Looks to be the case.

Extensive cost increasing color corrections?
Demon spends more time coloring his hair every day than anyone spent color working TEXAS.

I don't know if it will happen or not, given that 1000 units all on their own are hard enough to move, let alone 2000, with all the competition on that same film. Maybe, though. You never know.

When I was saying, no, let's be honest, complaining (I know, God frowns on complaining, but even I have my moments), rather annoyed by the $60 bundle price for the two new releases, I finished up with, "Well, I guess that's not meant to be" and may have sighed, audibly. The response was, "Didn't you pay $20 for your Good Day To Die Hard Steelbook, isn't that a much more important film to you?" That took me by surprise....

First, I paid $15 for one and around $10 for the backup/display/used-like-new unit and $5 for the one sitting on a shelf in the kitchen.

Second, it's Moore's extended cut so, yeah, it's a much more important film to me, the awesome version of Old-Man Die Hard.

Third, I suddenly felt a lot better about not being able to afford Gates of Hell (City of The Living Dead), which I wanted but do already have in another version.... About not being able to afford Psycho From Texas, which I still have, all washed out, on dvd.... About not being able to afford Breeders, which I do love but can't pay $30 for, $35 with shipping.

So, yeah, I hope Breeders has a cheaper price down the line and GoH/PFT has a stand-alone/glow-cover-less edition in the future.... Hope won't buy you a pony.

Wow! I could swear the color and contrast look better on the DVD which also has a higher aspect ratio, am I wrong?

I knew that the interest in Dead Pit was waning.
Only 20 copies listed and still not sold out.
Also can’t believe nothing is “sold out” yet even though most of the stock was held back.

Most people are probably still trying to decide between paying their mortgage/rent, or those insane prices.

We've clearly hit a seller vs fan inflicted Super Saturation point.
Yeah, that's the ticket

I’ve never seen PSYCHO FROM TEXAS and am interested to check it out, but $40 is insane. Especially absurd considering I’m on pins and needles waiting for Scorpion’s GOH. Add to that the fact DF has done nothing recently to instill in me any delusional sense of “brand loyalty,” plus the $90 I’m eager to drop on VS’s September slate - I think I’ll hold off on this one for now.

Oh, and I remember hating BREEDERS with a passion when I first rented it as a 12 year old. I’m thinking it is not the kind of flick to grow on me now.

Pulled the trigger on Breeders, then read it’s 1.33:1 , then got a stomach ache!

Demon mentioned that was the original aspect ratio BREEDERS was filmed in during the live stream. Can anyone verify that?

Edit: Or at least the original intent. Both were stated to be true.

Was it intended for video or just went there after failing to secure a theatrical release?
