Oregon St. just lost their first game. The number of undefeated teams dropped from 11 to 6 this week.
Alabama (8-0) Oregon (8-0) Kansas St. (8-0) Notre Dame (8-0) Ohio St. (9-0) Louisville (8-0) Alabama and Oregon both have tough match ups next week. Alabama @ LSU Oregon @ USC |

so i'm guessing the new top 5 will be...
1. Alabama 2. Kansas State 3. Notre Dame (K-State or ND could be flip flopped 2, 3) 4. Oregon 5. LSU / Florida of course, my Ducks didn't get any help with Oregon State and USC choking it up ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() hoping Alabama DESTROYS LSU, so LSU stands no chance of getting to any title game (SEC or Natty). if LSU wins then we all have some big problems because Bama won't drop too far, which will still leave my Ducks on the outside looking in ![]() Notre Dame still has USC as well... and by then USC will have 3 losses and can go all out to (hopefully) upset the Irish ![]() would be very weird to see Bama vs K-State for the title! |

Saban will never go back to the NFL, he was absolutely miserable in Miami. He wants to be the face of the franchise and he hated dealing with an owner and not being able to recruit. Saban is 60 and I could see him staying at Alabama until he retires. He's happy there and can get one of the top recruiting classes each year.

It won't matter. Oregon is probably still #4 in the BCS when the numbers are released. The computers typically make up for the SOS that the humn polls seem to be ignoring.

It's a shame the non-conference game between Kansas State and Oregon didn't happen. For those that don't know the story, KSU and Oregon were scheduled to play each other in 2011 at Oregon in the season opener and at KSU this year. However, in 2010 Oregon was offered the chance to open the 2011 season against LSU and asked to reschedule the KSU game. KSU instead asked to cancel the series (as they needed to cancel a game anyway since the Big 12 was going to a 9-game conference schedule) and Oregon agreed. Regardless, I'd be surprised if at least 2 of the top 4 don't lose at some point this season. These things usually have a way of working themselves out (with the 2004 season being an exception).
