Can't you just get everyone up on the big ledge right opposite the entrance to the chest room?

I know you can't get shot by anything up there so all you'd need to try and do is take shots at templar as and when you can whilst cleansing in between.

Sure you won't get the chest for no teleports but that's hardly worth worrying about. Could save a lot of headaches if that spot works. Probably going to try it tonight.

We tried finding that spot that most of us used when we were all newbies to the Raid, but to no avail. I feel that Bungie changed the layout of the map's details, somewhere in between now and when the game was just a few weeks old. The video I posted earlier will be a good guiding point as to how to beat the Templar.

Yeah, the Templar wasn't really a pain to beat legit we just cheesed it to get the extra chest. It has been a long time since we did do it legit though. So should be fun getting back in to the rhythm.

I know they added the 4 second zones to the areas where the Hobgoblins spawn a month or two back but I think the ledge I'm thinking of should be OK since it's within the playable area of the map, I usually go up there to avoid the legions the Templar summons when defending the conflux.

I guess we'll give it a try later. But it's probably going to be way quicker just doing it legit anyway. If everyone can do the conflux then Templar should be easy/

So I just completed the Nightfall with 2 people. Only 1 of us (not me) got any rewards. I literally got nothing after completing it. So I went back to Orbit and checked the destination map, and when I hover over the daily and weekly, it doesn't show the "Rewards", as if I've already completed them. It also shows I still have a full Vanguard playlist blue circle, which doesn't make any sense at all. So I turned off my PS4 and checked everything again, and everything looks normal now. So I have to do the Nightfall over again to get my rewards. Geeez, I wonder if anyone else is running into this problem.

And Nightfall done on my main. Ended up getting a Legendary Scout Rifle. Was hoping for an exotic, but I'll take it. Also got 3 Legendary engrams from the Weekly

The Failed Experiments used to take pride in never using cheese. Back then, we were only doing normal mode. The clan ultimately failed. Have not played with them as a clan in weeks. Nonetheless, we beat the Templar many times legitimately in normal mode, so I'm not worried about getting it done in hard mode. It will just take some attempts to get everyone on the same page.
