I received an e-mail earlier today from Barnes & Noble stating that they will be holding a one-day sale (August 15th) where their Top 100 Blu-rays are on sale for 50% off.

anyone know if the deal is off of the list price or their price? if Justified was $20 i would buy it but if their deal makes it still $35-40, it is no use since that is the average store price. it looks like there could be good deals.

Unfortunately it's off 'list' price, which seems to be some price that is quite high, sometimes higher than the item has ever or will ever sell at.

You'll just have to tune in that day and see. Sometimes these one day sales are OK, sometimes they're not.

Glad I scrolled up. Great price on Big Lebowski considering it's $20+ everywhere I've seen it here. Don't know how everything works out with shipping to Canada but I have a friend in the US who ships to me for free. Thanks for posting. Also, that's the lowest I've seen on Star Wars so I bought that as well. If it drops in price before then, I'll just cancel the pre order.

Same...absolutely phenomenal deal. Marked down from $300 SRP and I think it was $219 yesterday...don't quote me on that, but it was somewhere around there. I checked after I received the email yesterday morning and said to myself, "if it's anywhere around $150, I'm grabbing it".

Didn't expect this much of a drop. Can't wait to see what they do for Justified Season 1 on Thursday.

Hopefully Justified will be a good deal, same with Back to the Future. If it is just a few dollars cheaper than what they have now, no use in even advertising it.

well, the last 2 deals have both been 67(stooges) and 68(cheers) % off.

So, it will likely be the same for all one day deals.

Maniac Cop is now up for pre-order at Amazon.ca, and it is $17.49. That is $5 cheaper than Amazon.com, and is an excellent price considering it is Synapse Films releasing this (their prices almost never dip below the $20 mark).
