Uncharted renders natively at 720p.

As Shin-Ra said only 720p...but they have profiles that show ~25% resource usage of the Cell..so they still have lots of headroom left for the next one..

I loved this game, but I really wish they'd make puzzle games a little more difficult. I remember playing Ocarina of Time and the puzzles being hard you you really had to figure things out. It seems puzzle games these days really hand feed you the material.

Anytime you came across a puzzle in this game they'd either do a camera move to show you exactly where to go, or they'd open up your journal to the exact page where the notes were to help you. There was almost nothing puzzling about it. Fun, but just not very challenging.

I agree Jake. The puzzles weren't really that puzzling. It would have been cool to peruse through his journal and find the right page.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED BY NAUGHTY DOG’S EVAN WELLS: PART ONE

Quote:
Will you be utilising the uncharted engine for upcoming titles - PS3 Jak anyone?

We will most definitely continue to build on the Uncharted code base with all of our future titles for the PlayStation3. We have a lot of very sophisticated systems that are general purpose and could be used for a wide variety of genres. It’s very exciting to think what we can do with this tech now that it’s in place and we can focus on accomplishing something even more ambitious. And Jak and Daxter is a definite possibility some time in the future. There is a lot of interest around the office in going back to that franchise and seeing what we could do with it using the Uncharted engine.
Quote:
Are you considering a sequel? There are more treasures to be found out there after all. Perhaps some in old Italian cities, like Venice.

We developed Uncharted as a franchise. The pulp action/adventure genre lends itself perfectly to serialization and continued episodes which is one of the reasons we were attracted to it. Right now we are brainstorming on what Naughty Dog’s next project will be, but even if we don’t do an Uncharted sequel right away, you can pretty much count on us doing one in the near future.
Also, just as I suspected - dead bodies and wildlife don't react to being shot due to the Teen rating ND were targeting.

Yup, 720p, guess the reviewer got it wrong. Anyway, got the game today and I love it!!!

A lot more shooting than I expected, but some great exploring too. Naughty Dog have got sooo much right with this game, it's pretty much the only game I've ever played that's made me chuckle during the cut scenes; great script and great "acting"!

On the very last jet-ski episode, is there a treasure near the jet ski? When I hopped onto the jet ski, I let it drift backwards with the current for just a few feet and then noticed that there is a small concrete room that looks as if you can enter it. But I was already on the jet-ski at this point, and there didn't seem to be any way to get off it...Please advise, thanks.

Oh man, this is one heck of a game. Chapter 13 really proves to me that no other console is more powerful than the PS3...Based on what I've seen personally so far from all the consoles. I haven't seen Mass Effect yet, for instance. But I have seen Gears of War, Bioshock, Fight Night 3, COD3, COD4, GRAW2, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance for the xbox360. (MUA is still awesome in its own way because I love comics).

But, in any case, I prefer the art direction of Uncharted and the action-adventure feel from the game. mmmmmmhhhh...it's so good.

This game has or probably will knock Resistance off the throne as my most replayed single player game for now. I haven't been keeping track of many times I've replayed this game, but I know that it should have the highest replay rate so far, because, unlike Resistance, I tend to replay it immediately right after beating it. Man, what a game...!!!

That's got to say alot, because it's no short game. It pans out for hours...!!!

I said for now because I know that, in the long run, I'll always replay Resistance again and again for the launch memories. But, then, Uncharted will have the somewhat second launch memory since I bought it around the same time I bought Resistance last year, pretending that the PS3 40gb is the re-do launch.

When you exit to the outside (or at least outside because it's in ruins) part with the jetski, if you turn right immediately there's a guy in a little corridoor bit and I think there's a treasure in there at the far end.

Once you get onto the jetski there's no hidden rooms with treasures or anything.

On the last jet-ski stage, I think there are about 3 or 4 pirates waiting next to the jet-ski. It looks kind of like a concrete patio where they're all standing. To the right is a small room where one pirate with a yellow shirt and blue cap is waiting. I don't remember seeing a treasure in there though, but I'll examine that room more carefully and be on a look out for a corridoor on my next run. But if I look to the -- left of the screen -- there is a small iron gate. It seems as if you can't get in there. But when I hopped onto the jet-ski, I noticed that on the side of the building, there is a pathway into that room. I'm guessing that, in the next run, I can swim there or try to walk there somehow before getting into the jet-ski. But I'll keep an eye out for the corridor....

But just to make sure, there IS a treasure in the last Jet-ski stage, right before you hop onto it?

I think I'm talking rubbish.

Did you get the treasure near the bottom of the stairs after crossing the rickety bridge?

Edit: I think there's one in the cave with the guys patrolling, too. Probably easy to spot the glint because it's darker.
