I just got back from lunch and got the Targryen cover myself...What I found interesting was all standard covers were sold out, not 1 left in stock. There were two Stark BD sets, and about 18 Targryen sets. The limited nature of the Stark cover almost convinced me to get that, but in reality Stark and Targryen are my two fav houses... Instead of wasting time, I went with the house that my favorite character is from. Anyone who's read the books knows the theory running around about the family lineage...

Anyone else get the coasters? They are rather neat...

My bestbuy had about 16 Targaryen and 4 Stark and a bunch of standards... This was just about 20 minutes ago... Got both and only had to spend 31 bucks I'm guessing if they had that many (+ whatever sold), they are moving pretty well in my area.

They were all over in my store.

Some in the front. Some mixed in with regular blu-rays. Some in the hbo section.

My Best Buy had more copies of each edition than I was willing to count. I went with the standard edition, because I like the way it looks and because I'm hoping it will line up nicely when future seasons are released.

EDIT: Does anyone know how to find all of the "Hidden Dragon Eggs?" I'm going to sit down and watch all of the special features tonight and I don't feel like hunting for them on my own.

Now that I know that teh cooler EMBOSSED Normal cover is better... kind of regretting the Best Buy Exclusive Covers... I fig the slip went over top of the standard edition... hmmm Seems a LOT cheaper by comparison.

I haven't opened mine yet, may take it back to exchange it UGH

When I saw that people were going to BB 30 minutes to an hour after opening and they were running low on covers I was like I better get my ass over there ASAP before they run out. When I got there they had like 40 of each cover and I was relieved. I asked one of the guys and he said they had a bunch more in the back. I don't know why I rushed over, the one I go to is either the biggest BB or the second biggest in MA, so they would stock up.

Anyways I was dead set on getting the Targaryen cover because IMHO it looks the best and it looks even better in person. Then I saw the Stark set and I was like damn... that looks so good. Then I saw the regular cover and was like DAMN, THAT LOOKS AWESOME. The embossing and the throne with Ned on it looked amazing. SO, what to do... I thought and I thought and I decided

Since my b day is on the 22nd I thought I would treat myself lol. Plus I had $40 in RW points so I got one for free and $5 off another one.

Honestly I'd just keep them, once these editions get phased out they'll have the normal editions go on sale and they'll probably get even cheaper. Thats when I'll be picking up the normal edition.

Those seem like pretty low numbers, to me it looks like they are selling. Plus it's during the day, I'd think they would be gone by later tonight when people get off work.

That was exactly my logic when I got the Stark Exclusive. Once the exclusives are gone you won't be able to get them anymore. The normal edition will always be around so if I feel I really want to pick it up, I can wait for a good sale on it

I just likes the stark slip too much to lose out on it. The normal embossed cover is damn sexy as well though.

And I could always sell the BB exclusive and keep the slip to put over the normal edition if I want to recoup some money later on down the road....

Tons of exclusives at the local BB. They have a huge display in the store (see pic below). Grabbed the Targaryen packaging! Love it!

Returned my Stark and got the Regular which was a no-brainer for me. No guarantee Best Buy will have exclusive covers in the future and I want all of mine to match. Plus, the regular edition is a much better quality and build than the two special covers.

Can't wait to watch again with subtitles.

I got it from Amazon because I don't ever believe Best Buy will continue on with the theme of different House sigil covers, especially if they're offering 2 of the big ones just on season 1 alone.

What are we going to be left with by Season 7 or 8? House Tully? House Bolton? No one wants that.

Could have done (this is in no particular order or based on any of the books):

1 - Stark
2 - Lannister
3 - Baratheon
4 - Targaryen
5 - Tyrell
6 - Martell?
7 - Arryn?

But instead they've blown their wad on two Houses for one season.

If they did the Targaryen for every season I would get that. Knowing me, I'll probably get every available cover there is.

I still think a great exclusive cover would have been a Heart Tree with crying bloody eyes. But a Lannister one would have been cool to.
