Some frames are not sync. Not sure why two IMAX screenshots contain a left vertical black bar? Can someone please test these scenes?
Thanks for those Pieter! I see that the IMAX version is also cropped slightly compared to the same shot in the fixed 2.40 version (this is separate from the floating windows), we saw the same thing happen with the Blu-ray of Interstellar. I'm presuming it's because they're taking the 1.90 IMAX digital master and simply cropping it.

Interestingly enough (well, interesting to nerds like me), the clips of the IMAX scene in the special features do indeed appear to be 1.90. You can also spot the Alexa 65 shots in the gag reel because the AR changes from 2.40 to 2.20 (the A65's native AR).

I don't have the UK or US version yet, mine is the New Zealand one. So I'm curious as to whether the UK one has the trailers since the NZ one doesn't. I haven't bought a NZ version of an MCU film since the first Cap, so I've never not had the sneak peeks included as I always picked up the US copies (except IM3 which I got from the UK), so that's interesting we don't get them here.

What? Surely something someone doesn't like should be eliminated for all instead of them just not watching it?

The UK 2D disc starts with the trailer for Dr Strange and then an Audi promotional spot, and in the special features is indeed a 4-minute Sneak Peek at Dr Strange.

Don't you just love the philosophy of those who feel that if there is something they don't like then absolutely no else should have it?

I have never liked Cole slaw, but I have always been happy to pass it to my wife in any restaurant that includes it as a side item to the entree. She enjoys it, and I have no desire to lobby all restaurants to remove it from the menu just for my sake.

I don't really keep up with disc similarities all that much, but it seems strange to me we're both Region B but one version has trailers and the other doesn't. I would've thought their approach would be to chuck it all on one disc and distribute it throughout the Region, much like they do with the steelbook outside of North America. Oh well, I'll be getting it either way, but just reminds me why not to buy locally with films I care a lot about, because who knows what else we could miss out on?

I'm not a particular fan of coleslaw either, but like you I just don't order it. What kind of craziness? We should clearly be lobbying for its eradication instead.

I look forward to watching the 3D version of this film in general, but particularly the airport scene, it was definitely the highlight all five times I saw this in IMAX.

No, not at all; just expressing my sincere shock, horror and awe over one not using the multi-quote feature...so sincere was he in attempting to convey that this is what I should be doing, it was worth communicating his sentiments via a smart-ass remark.

Now, alas -- no shock here -- someone else comes along (you) to throw more fuel on the argument. I didn't use the multi-quote feature -- the next time, I will turn myself into the authorities because of it.

Totally agreed, Rock -- I finished the film last night and always get struck by that final fight when Steve just lets Buck pummel him into submission (this fight could have gone on and on if something didn't give), telling him he's "with him till the end of the line."

The oddest thing. My Walmart got in and sold their Civil War blurays today. Thing is no copy had a slip cover, there were no 4k or 3d discs that I could find, and the display was kinda "meh" looking (I neglected to take a pic of it) =/ I asked the register dude about it coming out next week, and he had no idea. He just said "if I can't sell it to you, a message will pop up on the register...)

Could you fill one of these out, so we can all move on with our lives?
[Show spoiler]

PM it to me and I'll make sure it's dealt with by the appropriate authoritative body.

Thanks.

Only 3D will get the slipcover if previous experience is to go by with MCU releases in the US, and Disney don't do 4K yet. But it's interesting they only had the 2D version available and a week before release as well.

That's 2D only. The slips only come on the 3D copy. There is also no 4K edition being released at this time.

Do you think all walmart stores are already selling it now or just the one you went to ? I remember buying one of the Resident Evil movies at a walmart a day or more before its Blu-ray release date.

For anyone interested in the Bestbuy Steelbook , they have just lowered the price to the sale price of $27.99 , still debating if I should preorder with my $5 rewards certificate

I have no idea. I'm dead center between two Walmarts heading out North and South by about 12 miles. The one I did go to (North) had the display set up near/behind their electronics register and not out in the middle of the floor like most big tentpole movie releases get. It wasn't even that big of a display (maybe like two rows worth of discs), and the large price tags above it only listed the dvd and bluray (no 3d, 4k, etc - and now I understand there will be no 4k for the time being).

So, maybe my Walmart just put these out figuring they weren't that big of a deal? Like I said, I asked the worker there why these were out early and he didn't know/care *shrugs*

Does BestBuy honor the price adjustment, since they don't charge preorders(I think)?

Ended up splurging for the steelbook - just too gorgeous to pass up. It'll be ready for in-store pickup on release day and I ended up using a $10 reward certificate to make it a bit more reasonably priced. Really looking forward to watching this again!
