So now that Pokemon Go is pretty much out for most of us, anyone playing?

I started and caught some around my house.

stuck at this for 12 hours.

When I was trying to get in early (via new Zealand app store )

I was able to load up game on iPad but it kept failing to get a GPS signal so I kept turning location services on and off to get it to work in bursts, turns out there is/was a Koffing literally across the street from my house, but every time I got close the GPS error went bonkers, and now I can't even log in today from my phone.

If someone got that Koffing gonna be pissed.

I had a Squirtle in my backyard this morning.

Pretty awesome game and it would get people outside more.

I had a bunch of Eevee's close but couldn't get to them.

Also got 4 PokeCenters and a Gymm down the street lol.

I get that Hodor is now taken, but so are all the variations? Holdoor, Hododor, etc..

I even tried a couple made up names.

Oh well still at work anyway..will try again when I get home..just glad its now out

Apparently someone got hit with a train playing this. Not sure how true it is but the guy that told me is pretty correct on stuff. Which again I can see this happening. It is bad enough people today are so stupid with their selfies. I can imagine people walking off of cliffs or into roads looking for Pokemon. A buddy said he wouldn't be surprised if someone drowns looking for water type.

I got a Rattata today. Sucks cause there was a Gloom and a Bulbasaur close but they never popped up.

Dang there is a Haunter close by!

Seriously though, this game doesn't work for me. My question is, does it work on a home internet connection? I don't have or want a phone, and I'm trying this on my iPad. But it's connected to my home Wi-Fi. It keeps not locating my GPS. Would I even have GPS if I'm connected at home?

Also, the game starts, but I don't know how to play it. I make my dude, and then this other bloke gives me some Pokeballs, and then the three starter Pokémon appear around me, but I can't move. I touch all around on the screen, and nothing happens. Sometimes the screen glows beneath my finger. What's the deal?

Also, the background is blank. Shouldn't it be an image from my camera?

Pikachu can be chosen from the starters, just walk away from the 3 you are given and come back.

I had the game open while driving to work today. Found a bunch of Pokemon but didn't have time to stop off and catch them. Hopefully I can get a few of those when I am heading home today lol.... I can see this causing wrecks and injuries to people not paying attention though

Works great if you have someone to drive for you, you don't even have to slow down and capture them along the way.

I imagine at some point they will change the functionality of the game, so you don't have to constantly have it open. Maybe send a notification or something, because it's starting to get kinda out of hand.

Quick question,

Just how prolific are these supposed to be? I live on an acre and a half piece of property and my son and I walked every inch of our property and down to the end of our street and back, along with inside our house and absolutely nothing turned up. Are actually finding these supposed to be on the rare side? I just figured we'd find them in all kinds of places. My son is 5 years old and the experience wasn't exactly thrilling to him considering we didn't find a single one. Also I can verify that my phone's GPS signal was being detected. In the morning we're going to drive up to where some hiking trails are and walk around to see if we have better luck.

Hmm that is odd. I was just on there today in fact about an hour ago playing. Just my last incense and got about 4. Nothing major just usual stuff. Apparently my buddy had to get 30 Pokemon just to get to level 5 haha. I'm like ahh going take forever.

So was totally about to catch a Pidgeotto. But the game locked up and didn't catch it! I was like dang it. But it sure did label it in the PokeDex

I did catch a few more today.

Another Weedle :rolleye: and an Oddish.

I'm going into town Sunday and see what I can get there.
