Also I think the most surprising thing about the movie is that the big hero charge that was so advertised in the trailers isn't even close to being in the movie.
The death at the end is the point of the movie. If you remove that, you only got Thanos vs Hulk, Thanos vs Guardians, Thanos vs Captain, fights, fights, fights, only to collect the stones and kill half of the characters. If those characters will be alive in next movie then movie is pointless.

Better than BP, for sure. I guess I need to see it again. But Thanos picking up Thor by the chest at the very beginning, grabbing Gamora on Vormir, giving the knife to little Gamora, and a handful of other interactions looked bad. The Mantis/everyone on Thanos at the end of the movie looked fine but again, that was mostly close-ups, and those looked fine throughout. Hopefully they spruce up the CG a bit before the movie comes home.

Again, loved the movie. Not trying to nitpick. It's just annoying that a movie of this size and scale let such shoddy work through.

I read your entire post and I agree with your entire post. I've given up on the MCU having quality story telling years ago. It is popcorn movies.

But your post was great.

Yeah, noticed another trailer scene that wasn't in the movie was Thanos squeezing Thor's head on the ship.

I'm fine with accepting that the MCU exists in a far more advanced universe than our own, but that kind of tech is beyond absurd. It makes the stuff in Iron Man 3 look believable.
It defies the law of conservation of matter. LOL.

That's Disney and Kevin Feige for you but wished they stuck with The Incredible Hulk design which that version wasn't a clown and wasn't scared of anything.

The MCU will always forsake good storytelling for easy story telling.

One thing is that Peter's web is synthetic, Stark likely built it with some kind of super-light but super-strong alloy that can temporarily subdue a being as big as Thanos. That's not a huge deal honestly.

Well, it's more serous than that BluRayHiDef, he just disobeyed a direct order, under normal circumstances ( in real life ) that a Court Martial offence.

Lets see how that plays out in the next one.

But given what's going on, I wouldn't be surprised if in the end Secretary of State Ross is the one who ends up loosing his job.
And no charges are filed against Rhodey, and all charges on the others are dropped.

Well his career in the US Military is done. He disobeyed a direct order to arrest what Ross considers fugitives. I am not too sure but can the secretary of state order someone like Rodey to do something like that or does Ross have to tell a superior officer to tell Rodey what to do?

Rodey signed the accords.....so unless Ross went poof as well....he's up for some serious Jail Time.

I disagree. Points like Dr Strange being able to go back to earth are not nitpicking.

This is the problem with all powerful stones. The plot holes become bigger and bigger as the story unfolds.

None of the plot holes regarding the Infinity Stones is a nit pick; they're huge plot holes. Explain to me why Thanos needed the Mind, Soul, and Space Stones to achieve his goal? The only ones necessary to wipe out half of the universe's population are the Power Stone and the Reality Stone; the Power Stone would be necessary to magnify the power of the Reality Stone on a universe-wide scale so that he can alter reality such that the population of all life is halved. No other stone was necessary. Also, Dr. Strange could have undone all of Thanos' doings with the Time Stone; heck, he could have simply reversed time in regard to Thanos himself and make Thanos de-age until he became an embryo again.

I'm sure Disney, with its insistence on happy endings, will find some way to give one to Rhodey.

Dude, if Thanos has all the Stones, then no one else has them to undo what Thanos is doing. It's that simple.

The only one I could give you is the Strange/Time Stone one, but that wouldn’t really make for a good movie would it?

Appreciate the effort, but suicides? Come on now. I think you’re just looking for faults tbh.

You are completely right. Time travel in general is a huge problem in movies. Nothing makes sense real quickly.

I too was wondering why he had to keep collecting stones when the ones on earth were of no threat to him. He could have easily used the space stone to travel to a bunch of planets in 6 months and use the power stone to crush them.
