I wouldn't say angry; it's just frustrating. The way I see it, if Amazon knew it could not fulfill the pre-orders for release date shipping, why did they wait until 2 or 3 days before release date to pull the pre-order option on the item page? Why pull it at all, if they're going to just keep shipping backorders into February? How limited is this edition?

Amazon still lets you order the out of stock Blu-Ray, but you can't do the same for the 4K disc.

It seems to me that they (Amazon) just do not have the stock to meet the demand and continued to take too many pre-orders anyway. Surely they knew how many units they were getting from the distributor in the initial release batch. Either they're being cheeky or the distributor didn't deliver the amount they were expecting.

I did pre-order from DeepDiscount as a backup plan in case this happened. Getting it on or around release date would have been ideal, but I did it more to avoid a situation where I didn't get anything at all for months. Course there's no guarantee they'll pull through either since it now shows as backordered there.

I'll look at the Bullmoose route, thanks for the tip.

Bestbuy shows Backordered until Jan 25. Walmart estimates Dec 21st delivery. Target Dec 29.

Will say though, that in the past, Amazon has given me some wild overestimations of how long out the backorder is going to take, only to have it ship a few days later. So I take it with a grain of salt now.

The issue is not just only amazon all of the stores I know and checked say out of stock or backordered so the issue seems to be with Arrow

They say they're sorry, they have hit a record on how many orders they have at the moment, so it's going to take a few days for them to stabilise the situation, but they're working on it. Although I specifically asked to know if they will be able to fulfil the orders, because if you search for the 4k version it doesn't exist, and if I go to my order and click on the link to see the product it goes to, this product doesn't exist or is oop... We'll see 🤓

Like is the new transfer just as good as the UHD disc im sure it is seeing as it Arrow after all.

I guess it depends on how many copies that were ordered from the retailer. A friend just ordered his from Bullmoose today, and now it's preparing to be shipped already.

Watching this now. Looks real good. Looks sooooo much better than what was previously available on streaming. I hear the BD sucked too.

I still remember watching this so much on USA Network so much as a kid.

Looks like HMV have the same issue too as my order status is Payment Captured with no movement on the disc as yet. I'm happy to wait though, I have a tonne of stuff to get through anyway!

I ordered from Diabolik pretty early on and it shipped last week. Went from NJ to Florida and now Pennsylvania....It was supposed to be delivered yesterday, so we'll see. I hope it doesn't get lost.

Same exact boat here. Media Mail on the 8th, still stuck at "USPS Awaiting Item." My other recent Diabolik order was sent via first class, label created on 12/3, USPS scanned it as received on 12/7. That delivery still hasn't arrived in my state yet, but at least I know it's on the way.
