Just got this from Amazon:

Quote:
Hello from Amazon.com.

We're writing about the James Bond Blu-ray Collection Six-Pack (Amazon.com Exclusive ASIN: B001DVVYEQ) that you purchased.

We've discovered that the disc for 'For Your Eyes Only' will not play correctly on Samsung BD-P1500 and LGE BH200 players. If you do not use one of these Samsung Blu-ray players, you will not be impacted by this issue.

Samsung is developing a firmware update to resolve this issue for both players and plans to release it later this month.

If you own one of these players and do not wish to wait for the firmware update, Fox Home Video will send a replacement disc. Simply send an e-mail to support@foxhome.com with your shipping address and Amazon.com order number, listed in the subject line of this e-mail, to request a replacement.

Additional information about firmware is also available at Amazon.com here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/?docId=1000192641

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for shopping at Amazon.com.

Sincerely,

Customer Service

The 2.0 firmware upgrade is available to download straight to your player so you can get the benefit of Blu-ray live that is available for PS3.

I just bought this player and upgraded it to 2.0 now when it's hooked up to the LAN it's messed up the screen is jittery and DVDs won't even play...I have no BD to test yet

When I disconect the LAN or turn off DHCP it goes back to normal....Has anyone had this problem? I've seen the post about the player taking forever to respond to the remote command which is what I get when DHCP and LAN is on

Do you have a flash drive of at least 1 GB in size plugged in to the USB port in the back?

What seems to be the problem? I've had troubles playing things on this player too. The studio logos that show up before the menu's will always show up but it stops working after that and goes black, but I've been able to fix it. What's yours doing?

Hey guys, i'm new to the site....jsut figured i'd finally register and chime in.

My gf just bought me a Samsung p1500...and its great...but reading over this thread a bit this is honestly kinda why I was rooting for HD-DVD.

They just seemed to have their stuff together a lot better than blu-ray.

Regardless, i'm sure it'll all be finalized soon but for now i'm enjoying the 3 movies I got, I Am Legend, Predator and V for Vendetta.

Hi,

I just saw this player today at Costco for $229 and it seems like a really good deal. How hard is it to update the firmware? Are others pretty happy with this player?

I got 2 of them. First since June 2008 with no problems. So far the best deal listed for Black Friday is $199.99.

Default Found out what the problem is

I found out what the problem is with the movie For Your Eyes Only, it will not play in the Samsung BD-1500, Samsung will bring out a firmware update later this month to fix this problem. I thank all of you who helped me. I will have to wait for the firmware update so I can play this movie in the Samsung BD-1500. By the way For Your Eyes Only Plays fine in the Panasonic BD-30, So I know the Disk is Good, so that meens that the Samsung BD-1500 will not Play this Movie. Do any of you know of any other Blu-Ray Movies that will not play in this Player. It is kind of weird that this is the only movie that I have that will not play in this player, other 5 James Bond Movies Play with No problems is this Player, So I will have to wait for the next firmware update to come out from Samsung for this Player, I hope the next firmware update fixes this problem for this Player (Fingers Crossed).

Default New Player

I bought my BD-P1500 the other day from BIG W in OZ $344AUS
Best price I have seen. Plugged it in to my to my full HD42 in lcd LA46M81BD and setup was pretty simple (no surround system yet)
I bought Iron Man Ultimate Experience because of the great reviews it got and had not seen it yet but heard about all the problems other people have had. It loaded up quite quick and played without a single glitch twice.
I was a great movie and the PQ was first rate

To you and anyone else who wanted to know...all I did was mess around in the players main menu. Turned either the screen messages on or off or disabled BD-live. I really just messed around and tried the disc again then it worked. Pretty ghetto huh?

I've tried doing all that, and it still will not play. Contacted Samsung yesterday, again, and they told me firmware update by December....
