In my opinion I prefer MGS and MGS3. I'm not too big of an MGS2 fan.

But, yes, all MGS storyline are connected, so if you miss one there's a slight chance you'll be confuse in MGS4. However, if you're willing to give it a chance, buy it. Think of it as a standalone, play for what it offer, you might just get a kick out of it either way. Or you can go buy the MGS essential collection thing now, which comes with MGS, MGS2 and MGS3.

MGS4 Basic Controls

Square: Activate auto-aim
Circle: Reload weapon
X: Crouch; hold to crawl; roll
Triangle: Wall press; aim down sights (while aiming)

L1: Aim weapon (over-the-shoulder view)
R1: Fire weapon; CQC attacks
L2: Hold to select items
R2: Hold to select weapons

Left Stick: Move Snake; press gently to creep
Right Stick: Move camera, aim weapon

The Promotion disc's are arriving at Gamestop stores today. From a e-mail I saw it'll have the code w/ instructions on how to dl the beta. 04/26-05/10 this is all I will be doing lol ^^
