MOST of my orders will ship right away, granted I have had delayed shipments for in-stock items happen. When they do though, I chat with their CS team and they usually accommodate me with free upgraded shipping which forces it to move out of the warehouse.
![]() I always tell them I feel like I'm being punished for not being a Prime member but their excuse is that they are SOOOOO busy and have SOOOO many customers that shipments are often taking longer than in the past. |

They don't have time for you even if you have Prime. I also have their credit card and they give no ****s.

I'd be surprised if they even manage to get any copies to ship to Canadian customers. I think we'll just have to end up ordering from US sites.

Was looking for Spacehunter as it's 8.99 in the US. It's 24.99 here and an "import." |

Well that's the funny thing. I don't have Prime, but last week they sent my blu-ray of Young Girls of Rochefort via FedEx overnight. Got the shipping notice on Thursday morning, it was here by Friday afternoon. From Mississauga to Saskatoon, and of course it was more than $35 so it was free.

I feel that I am flagged as being a regular "free shipping" user and so should have Prime (in their view). It's not like "free shipping" is actually free, it's included in the price, but faster shipping (i.e. Prime) is always more expensive and is a premium service. I'm not asking for premium service for "free", just not to have in-stock items sitting for a week before they start to move. This is a relatively new phenomenon from .ca, seemed to start this year or late last year, and I'd say it's definitely a policy rather than circumstances. Unless they got rid of a lot of people in picking/shipping, which would still be "policy" I'd say. |

I won't go that far.
![]() OT [When I order stuff via amazon that comes from a vendor in China (Hong Kong), I expect to wait ~2 months, regardless of how long the storefront says. Sometimes it's 1 month, sometimes 3 (!!), but I expect around 2. I'm kinda saying don't judge by the ratings these guys get, in general, because many people give them a 1 star very quickly. I have always found these Chinese vendors to be reliable and responsive, but you have to *wait* at least a couple weeks longer than amazon says before contacting them. Obviously then, never even remotely consider ordering from these places if it's something you need in a hurry. But if you aren't in a hurry and want to pay 1/4 or 1/10 (or 1/30 in one case) the price for the exact same thing, whether from a North American amazon vendor or Canadian Tire, go for it.] |
