[Show spoiler]T'Challa drank the poison that weakend him for the ritual combat.

1. Was one of my favourite moments in CW (the Panter/Soldier rivalry/fight scenes) - we need WAY more fight scenes like this imo.

2. I thought the same when watching Panther the first time. - I guess the circumstances are different though. Fighting in shallow water, African weaponry that can be awkward and the most important factor is, in CW he was angry and fuelled by revenge for the death of his father. That could explain for an extra 20% or more improvement in combat. Pure anger/Animalistic rage/adrenaline.

He seems way more chilled in general in Panther

'Deadpool 2' Limited Josh Brolin From Filming 'Infinity War' With Co-Stars

Quote:
While some fans might imagine the filming of Avengers: Infinity War to be a months-long, star-studded affair, the production probably didn't play out the way they thought.

Speaking with RadioTimes, actor Benedict Cumberbatch revealed that one of the movie's main stars Josh Brolin was not present for a lot of filming, replaced by a stand-in who did a lot of the motion capture work. At least, for many of the scenes featuring Brolin's Thanos and Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange.

"They used a stand-in for Josh. Josh wasn't in there for much, he did his bit and then a lot of stuff with a lot of us and him was missing because, I guess, he was doing Deadpool 2 and I was doing Melrose and The Current War," Cumberbatch revealed.

"But we made it work. It's often the case you can act with other actors anyways, in certain scenarios because of the amount of additional stuff you have to fit in with the environment or the magic or whatever it is that's coming out of your hands or your ass."

Of course, this is unlikely to diminish the quality of Avengers: Infinity War. As Cumberbatch said, there is a lot of CG work, and many of the actors didn't understand the full context of what they were getting into while filming and instead placed their trust in the Russo Brothers' hands.

Brolin likely gave his performance as a foundation, with the Russos using a stand-in actor to provide a lot of the motion capture. Then Brolin entered the recording booth to bring the finished character to life in post production.

Either way, Cumberbatch isn't sweating the lack of Brolin on set.

"I don't feel robbed of the opportunity, and there's plenty of footage showing there's definitely all of us there," the actor added.

At first there were rumors that Cumberbatch was not on set for the first part of filming, requiring his face to be digitally painted onto a different stand-in actor. He himself addressed that, saying he was actually on set for a lot of the filming before addressing Brolin's absent.

Either way, this is unlikely to damper fans expectations of Avengers: Infinity War, which premieres in theaters on April 27th.

Are you excited to see the Sorcerer Supreme and Earth's Mightiest Heroes go up against the Mad Titan known as Thanos? Be sure to let us know what you think in the comments!

Most of the fight scenes in Black Panther were not good. They should have put a lot more into the choreography. And they should not have relied on CGI for the final fights.

No guys, T'Challa was The Black Panther, Wakanda's protector already, in Civil War. T'Chaka had passed the mantle on to him before the events of CW. He wasn't King, but he was The Panther.

No guys, T'Challa was The Black Panther, Wakanda's protector already, in Civil War. T'Chaka had passed the mantle on to him before the events of CW. He wasn't King, but he was The Panther. The ceremony in The Black Panther film was ritualistic to he that inherits the throne. It's not hard to perceive these facts though not fully explained. The King can appoint a Black Panther, if he so desires. Combatants would compete in the same ritual for the rite. Shiri at one point in the comics became The Black Panther, and she wasn't "Queen" of Wakanda.
So, in saying all of this, T'Challa had The Heart Shaped Herb in his body when he fought The Winter Soldier, and this explains why he could compete with The Super Soldier Serum in Bucky. He's still a better fighter than Bucky AND Cap, which is why he was kicking their tail. The costume simply makes him impervious, invulnerable, and bulletproof .

It's no surprise the fight scenes are quality considering the John Wick guys (Chad Stahelski and David Leitch) worked on Civil War as second unit directors.

Same, the fights are very well paced and edited.

True, those elements come into play, I don't think the BP script was completed when Civil War was filming in 2015 so the Russos just took a stab at it. I still very much enjoyed BP.

For those interested, the exact running time of Infinity War is:

149m 9s

...as confirmed by the BBFC. (Who are very anal about such things).

'Avengers: Infinity War' Tickets Are Reportedly Being Hidden Behind Some Posters

Breaking News
Quote:
Some lucky fans are discovering new Infinity War posters have a removable cover, which reads 'Do you dare remove Thanos?" The cover features the mad titan front and center, but if you end up removing him there could be a ticket to the movie, as one fan delightfully discovered.

The posters have been located in Austrailia, and seem to be part of a peel-off poster competition. Posters have been placed in the metro CBDs of Syndey NSW, Melbourne VIC, and Brisbane QLD, and a few of the posters have yellow borders. These posters are the ones that could contain a prize, and the photo shared confirms his poster had a yellow border.

Minor prizes include double in-season passes to see Infinity War, while there will be 4 major prizes available in the Syndey and Melbourne locations as well. These prizes will include a double pass to attend a special advanced screening event of Infinity War. The Syndey metro screening will be held at Hoyts Entertainment Quarter while the Melbourne metro screening will be held at IMAX Melbourne.

Why can't the U.S. so cool shit like this?

I remember the marketing for Super 8 did something similar to this. People looked through the camera lens on the large theater displays. It brought them to a secret website that allowed them to print out a ticket.

I have a question.

I had heard that Marvel was re-releasing old movies from the earlier phases in the week leading up to Infinity War, but I haven't found any info on it.

I'm not talking about the marathon that plays 24 hours through.

UK has fun? UK comes across as being too serious to have fun right?

Really wanted to see this next week but theaters are so full already. I hate being packed in a theater. People that sit right next to my group always smell or keep passing gas. Oh and the constant checking cell phone with their bright screens!

Not we don’t have much fun,

All i can recall is the odd last minute, intimate foo fighters gig and great getting the MCU movies a week early. That’s it. We’re behind on most other releases(ready player one being most recent week after US release)

PLus th amount of hide and seek fun read I no Twitter with 99% of which being in the US. Sucks.

We may get early MCU but that’s the same kinda ‘fun’

A way around all you’re issues, go time release day or the midnight premier showing. All the nerd attend those so they are always fully invested and I’m immursed the movie too. Plus it’s often a great atmospjere. Had a few crowds applaud the movie once done, us Brit’s do dont clap movies! Lol

That said, you reminded me I may need to confiscate @blaze_Macleod phone next wed night... may need some buddy-rules akin to those GF rules. Lol
