For Notre Dame it's going to come down to the USC game. I don't think they will win, but I didn't think they'd beat Oklahoma either. If they somehow find a way to win, that's really going to throw a monkey wrench into the BCS title game picture.

Yeah they will. This week for sure, ND .9147 Oregon .9136. What it's going to come down to is the voter's, and the last game of the season. They have to win big these next two games and smash SC to stay ahead of Oregon.

Not to mention Notre Dame is the most popular team in the country. If they find a way to beat USC (which is unlikely), they will get a big bounce in the polls.

yeah... but if ND beats USC and USC and Oregon meet in the Pac12 game and Oregon wins again, then what? can't have ND ahead of the Ducks because of that.

if i'm Chip Kelly, i want USC to crush ND to get them out of the picture and then have my team roll another 60+ on em in the conference title game to really show who should be #2 and playing for the NC

i don't care if Oregon is ranked #5 for the remaining weeks. they'll do what they need to, and the rest of the teams will sort themselves out. as i've said before, i could see K-State shooting themselves in the foot, but even if they don't, no title game will hurt them, but i think Texas (as much as i dislike Texas) will upset them in the final week.

ND... even if they beat USC, if USC somehow manages to get to the Pac-12 title game, and Oregon beats them again, i think that takes out the ND win against them since the Ducks will have beat them twice.

What ever happens I just want to see a great NC game. You can make an argument for each team in the top 4 right now.

If both Notre Dame and Oregon finish undefeated, Notre Dame will finish ranked higher. It's Notre Dame.

This year is really showing that a four team playoff system might just be the way to go. It's a real shame it's not in place for another two years.

it's sad how much of a fact that is.

i hope there are 3 or 4 undefeated teams to end the year. it causes such mayhem when 3 teams are undefeated, or an undefeated team plays in a different bowl (ahem, Boise St.) so gaving 4 or more this year would be awesome

(Bama, Oregon, K-State, ND, and... Louisville!)

Oklahoma never shows up in big games - the big kicker will be that ND won by so much and on the road.

and i'm not debating that ND has a tougher schedule (not by much imo, but it's a different style of play between the teams and how / who they play) but just that the Ducks are a better team. but sadly the 'history' of ND will give them a big favor in getting to the NC, especially if it's against Bama. talk about the history
