There wasnt any issue. AnimeAjay just made a mistake about a rare instance regarding the specific way the disc was encoded when played back as a rip on PC. (Something a few people still hold a strong grudge against him for that for some reason) Its possible that on real hardware issues will pop up regarding how it was encoded, but considering how whack the UHD spec it, its to be expected, I guess

So why does my Zidoo think it’s HDR when it’s not?

The Italian release of Broker, which is SDR, plays in SDR as it should. MediaInfo also thinks the 3.33 UHD is (at least) BT.2020.

“Fly Me to the Moon” was used without permission outside of Japan hence it’s exclusion from the recent Blu-ray release. I’m referring to every VHS and DVD release of Neon Genesis Evangelion that uses the song as every episode’s outro and the handful of times it’s used throughout the series.

TL;DR: “Fly Me to the Moon” was NOT licensed for international use. The copyright holder’s of the song never saw a dime.

It's only the audio, you still need to sync it with your own video. It's cool to have since it was never released officially, but damn 3 different dubs of the same movie, this franchise really is something else with the amount of alternate dubs and versions of everything they ever put out!

To this day I still can't believe that said infamous dub of 3.0 set in motion a series of events that caused the US/UK/AU home video releases of 3.33 to be delayed by more than two full years. For reference, Covid-19 only delayed the Japanese theatrical release of 3.0+1.0 by nine months!

In hindsight I'm glad that I decided to import the English-subbed HK BD from Neofilms (via Deltamac) soon after Funimation's delay was initially announced in December 2013, as its picture quality turned out to be significantly better than what Funi put out in February 2016 anyhow.

If the fine folks over in the various Star Wars threads can openly post about 4K77 (and other fan preservations of the like) then I don’t see why we can’t do the same.

The discarded Funi dub was essentially a piece of lost media until now. Personally I’m glad that the individual who found it saw fit to publicly share instead of hoarding it away for years like that one dude did with the original broadcast audio for DBZ.

Note that the total runtime for the bonus features is 107 minutes per the packaging's rear sticker, and it's been reported by other owners that the runtime of the new Evangelion:3.0(-46h) short is 10 minutes and 42 seconds.
