Also I think the bonus will be in HD for the most part, because one of the links said both bluray discs would be in dual layer. A 50gb is like 6 dual layer dvds and they're probably only using 2-3 dvd discs worth of special features, and I doubt the bonus feature dvds were even in dual layer. So the steelbook Blu-ray features must be in hd considering that Paramount's US release is also 2 disc with identical features, and Paramount's specialty is HD bonus features.

I think the bonus material will be in HD. I know the full-length documentary was 16x9 on the DVD. I'm SURE the bonus discs for the 3 disc were dual-layer. You can't fit a 196 minute documentary on one single layer disc.

Remember that Universal will have the picture-in-picture bonus material that Paramount probably won't have.

People, remember that the press release was released today, so online stores still have to take all the info in and all that, I'm sure pre-orders will pop up in the coming days/weeks.

Its up for preorder but it doesnt mention a steelbook

Kynch this is also a old movie and a UK release (UK DVD is cheap). Unlike T2 which have the new instalment to support it, Gladiator is a old movie.

It's Universal, I don't think they'd go this cheap. And I think they do plan to make the 4000 copies, if not tons more.

Universal generally releases Region Free, correct?
