I got mine from Amazon and it's a 3 disk set. Oh and the slip cover is super cool!

Default Potter and Half Blood Prince won't work in Bluray player

I have a Panasonic BD-60 Bluray Player and it is saying the HP Half Blood Prince Blueray DVD is incompatible. I updated the Firmware and can't tell what is going on. Has anyone else experienced this with this DVD? Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Thanks.

I don't think this Blu-ray title comes with a DVD anymore. I just bought this in the store during my lunch break for $17.99. It didn't have a slipcover and it felt kind of light for it to be a 3-disc set. I didn't open it yet, but I highly doubt it includes the DVD. I know it's supposed to have 2 BDs and 1 DVD. But I think the newer copies may only have the 2 BDs. Kind of strange. Not that I care because I never watch the DVD copies that come with combos, but I just find it odd that Warner just removed it. I guess Warner did that in order to cut cost, which explains the price drop on this title.

Confirmed! I opened my BD yesterday and there is no DVD. Even one reviewer at Amazon said the same thing. So, WB stops issuing Digital Copies AND the DVD after a certain period of time.

Default Darkness in a paticular scene

Hey all I have a question, in the scene where Harry looks down at Dumbledore's body, there is a particular shot of Dumbledores's body lying there then Harry's hand reaches for the locket. Before the picture focuses on his hand, the image is out of focus, but you can still see his hand, yet it's sort of blurred and have lines on his hand. I was wondering if that was normal or do I have the brightness set too high. When I lower the brightness, it goes away, but obviously the picture is darker. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?? If anybody could watch the part again to see if u see it, please do. I have a Panasonic TC-P65S1 plasma tv and I find it's tricky with Half Blood Prince to get the brightness settings right. Anyways, if anybody could check for me that would be great, thanks!!

Watched the BR yesterday and i also noticed the above: it starts at 2:17:01; also at 2:18:30, on the right of Dumbledore's head you see some strange "issues"

Also noticed some horizontal lines at 2:16:03 when Harry is lying on the ground

I liked the overall picture quality but are the above mentioned issues are very obvious and since I only see positive reviews, can it be that I've a faulty disc ?

It is not a faulty disc. I watched the HBO presentation once and it did the exact same thing in the exact same place. I believe it's a photography issue. Also, the lines on Harry can be solved by lowering your sharpness.

I think you just picked up the single Bluray copy and not the 3 disk set that was $22.99. The single disc set goes for $16.99 on Amazon and this only has the Bluray.

Just now catching up to some 2009 UE content that was ported forward to the SE's from last year: Watched the emotional "J.K. Rowling: A Year In the Life" last night. Did not know of her estrangement from her father and her mother's death from MS, both of which obviously inform the HP storyline. Very pleased that this supplement has been brought forward again to the new 4K UHD BD release.

If I'm understanding your question correctly, the supplemental feature I'm referring to is included in the various HBP Blu-ray releases (the Ultimate Collector's Edition from 2011, last year's 2-disc SE [which basically drops the DVD and some of the tchotchkes] and the new 4K UHD).

Does anyone happen to know why this specific Canadian release isn’t listed on this site?

I’d very much like to add it to my collection.

Not 100% sure, but if the country is set wrong on your browser, you may not see this release. 99% of the time, selecting one country gives you releases and reviews from only one country. Set it to either Canada or All Countries and see if it pops up.

If it’s truly not in the database, just add it. It’s hard, and I’ve only done it once before (for a weird Blu-ray/DVD flipper of the movie Big Miracle).

I’ve searched for it all over the world. Is there any way to add it? Should I contact the moderators?

I've submitted it to this site, I hope they accept it.

When would WB play fair and start treating us equally?
