Let's put it this way: there's a reason why humans naturally close our eyes when we sneeze. A sneeze expels air from your body at around 100 mph or more. If you TRIED to hold your eyes open, they'd probably shut anyway from the sheer force. If you PROPPED your eyes open, you'd likely blow them out of their sockets or seriously damage the connective tissue and nerve bundles.

As for drinking gasoline to be more like a Transformer, well, I do it all the time. Then I "lubricate" stuff.

Beside which, why would you want to keep your eyes open when you sneeze? It's not like you are missing a heck of a whole lot

I like Mythbusters, too, but please realize: it isn't science. It's entertainment.

Real experiments involve numerous study subjects, a control, and a variety of scenarios to prove (or disprove) a theory. Rigging up "best case scenario" situations in a warehouse does not qualify. Just because Jamie and Alex can (or cannot) duplicate an outcome doesn't mean it can't EVER happen to ANYONE.

A friend of ours is an ophthalmologist and has had to put an eyeball back in place due to it bulging after a hard sneeze. So it CAN happen.

Ere go: Mythbusters = fun to watch, but not scientifically accurate.
