Edward Scissorhands

A wonderful film about inner beauty, sadness, and loneliness that I find too upsetting to watch now.

One idiot critic called it "the feel good movie of the year".

This is easy for me. Ghostbusters 1 and 2. I only have the 2016 movie on DVD. Now that part 3 is finally happening I hope they put all 4 in an HD collection (I’m sure they will). Yes including the 2016 movie.

Thats what I usually do. I skip certain releases because a new movie is coming or a better release is coming. So I just wait even if it’s long.

Another is the Chucky movies. I have the old DVDs but I’ve held back on the Blu-ray’s because new ones are added and they have yet to give parts 2 and 3 special editions. I did get Curse on Blu-ray because it was only 8 dollars new so I thought hey why not.

This is why my collection here is basically empty. I pass and wait a lot. House was different being that no new movies are in the works and it’s full of extras.

True Lies (technically I do it on DVD but I refuse to count that, it's unwatchable)
The Abyss
Brain Dead/Dead Alive
Bad Taste
Dogma

All either unavailable or OOP and expensive. Dammit.

12 Years A Slave was my pick for the best movie of 2013, and yet I can't imagine ever feeling the need to watch it again.

THE ABYSS

Not on Blu ray anywhere and I didn't buy non-anamorphic dvd's because I would wait for a better version. I'm still waiting.

Stallone's Judge Dredd. Released on non-anamorphic dvd years ago, never released in the UK at all in it's life, worth watching in the 'so good it's bad' group.

I've held off on buying 'Kill Bill'. For the longest time I was convinced a special edition with the super one film version was right around the corner; and now I'm holding for a 4K release. I've still seen the film(s) many times over the years because it gets regular reprise screenings and I'm always happy to go see it at the cinema.

I, Robot.

It's by far my favorite Will Smith movie and IMO one of the best sci-fi films of the past few decades.

But it used to play frequently on a local television channel, and any time I ran by it, I'd watch it, so I've probably viewed it at least thrice as often as any film I actually own.

I still intend to buy it someday, though.

Not gonna happen in Region A (unless in Japan). It was possible when Anchor Bay had the license some years ago, but now they are owned by differents companies. However, the actuals Blu-rays are perfect and loaded with bonus features! A boxset exist in Australia, with the remake.

The biggest one for me is Mad Max Fury Road. I'm waiting for a special edition by Criterion, Shout, or Arrow. This seems unlikely more and more however.
