Unless you've had dealings with Best Buys parent company Future Shop in Canada there's no way you could possibly understand. EDIT> Looks like Best Buy is the parent co not FS, same crap different pile though. It's still the same company that spends its time overcharging us and providing a non stop flow of bad service. I am very confused on why you will not want your speakers JUST because a certain seller sells them. This clearly makes no sense? Will they sound worse once Magnolia sells them?

Its called "Sellin Out" this is very similar to. Band that has a distinct style and loses it to cater to the masses. One that pops into mind is Metallica. Master of puppets and Ride the lghtning were 2 records that defined them, then they started to get away from this with the Black album. They have never been the same since. I'd guess the majority of the purists who are in the "know" share this same ideallogy. There is a difference. JMO |

Why? The salesman just did to you what it takes to feed his family. Your MA's are beautiful and solid performers! I figured Sonus Faber would go to Magnolia because of VA (and Viennas are still good - nothing changed there). Now what will happen is as Mass market stores sell upscale - the high end stores, knowing that they can't compete price wise, will drop a brand name and pick up the closest specialty competitor (I've seen it done - when Polk and Velodyne came to Circuit City in '95, we dropped them like a hot potato and picked up Kef, Klipsch, made Paradigm our major subwoofer brand).

Magnolia Home Theater use to sell Audioquest but had stopped carrying because supposedly Audioquest couldn't keep up with the demand. I bought some Audioquest cables from Magnolia HT about 3-4 years ago.
