I expected a re-release 2-pack (like MGS). And I expected to pass since I have GoW1+2 still in my game cabinet.

But then they throw this on BLU and slap trophies in my face like BAM, how you like me now?

Sigh.

DAAAAAAAMN this is awesome! I've only played God of War 2 once, but i really enjoyed it. I've always wanted to play both of them and now they're coming onto the PS3 with trophies... i don't know how it can get better than this!

The only problem i see is why when i get God of War 3 would i ever play these other 2 games again? Is it really epic enough for me to do so? Also, in the previous 2 games were there upgrades and did it ever make you find things?

Since the GOW collection was the only reason why I was still keeping my 60gb PS3 around, I will now be selling it and getting the new Slim.

Only played the demo of that but thought it was pretty good. It's cool there will be trophies for the two games! At least now I'll know what is going on when i get the third one.

It plays and controls 10 x better being that player inputs are much more responsive do to the game running at 60fps.

No control lag whatsoever.

Only thing you wont find is a gimmicky six-axis control for projectiles.

I think this is part of why they are releasing this first seperately (well that and the fact that it's like a liscense to print money by selling it seperate

).

If it released with GoW3 as part of a collectors edition, a lot of people would buy it (like me), but if it was a choice between playing the brand new made-for-PS3 GoW3 or the other two, even though I never played the first two, I'd probably skip them and tell myself I'd go back to them.

This way with a holiday release people can play both while waiting for GoW3 and get reaquainted/caught up.
