When I was a kid we all absolutely loved the weekly Creature Features on local TV - Universal Classics, Hammer Draculas, Dr Phibes and the like

Saturday afternoons were for Godzilla (in every possible combination and incarnation) and Italian gladiator movies - I will pause for the obligatory Airplane! refernces - including some weird 'Mighty Sons of Hercules' series whose theme song rattles around in my head to this day

Sunday mornings had stuff like Sherlock Holmes, Charlie Chan, The Marx Brothers, The Three Stooges.

I started to go to theaters a little more when I was ten or so and gravitated toward Dirty Harry, Magnum Force, Night of the Living Dead and I would kill for a decent release of Charley Varrick.

I don't know if people consider them movies but the Peanuts holiday specials, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and the various Rankin & Bass Christmas shows were a big event every year.

And speaking of 'they're not really movie movies' I was absolutely glued to NBC's Sunday Mystery Movie when it was a Columbo. McCloud and McMillan and Wife were okay but Columbo? That was as good as it got.
