The ending of the first one really threw me off so I have no idea in what direction they could take this franchise. Also, what is proper etiquette in terms of how much spoiler info we can discuss regarding DS1?
[Show spoiler]Was Nicole at the end a hallucination or real? Why would he hallucinate after the marker was returned? Also, if the entire time the marker was f**king with Isaac's mind, that doesn't explain who was PHYSICALLY opening the door for Isaac late in the game.
If someone can answer those i'd appreciate it.

Im not sure i like the idea of him being a badass. Part of DS's atmosphere was a regular guy thrown in a horrible nightmare of a situation. Everything felt sudden and disorented, he really didnt know what was going on so it felt scarier if that makes sence. If he's an all heroic bad ass, it might kill the mood for me maybe. but maybe not if done right. IDK, just sayin'.

I'm going to guess this:

[Show spoiler]Nicole turned into a necromorph while Isaac was off doing whatever he was doing toward the end of the game.

And then, in the ending, she lunges at him, but he reacts in time and stomps her out.


That could also explain why his "new" chest piece looks damaged.
