I also don't get why they don't advertise that they have it instead of it only being discovered by someone seeing it in-store or stumbling upon it online.

I really don't think studios care about anyone's pet peeves and/or how uniform people's blu-ray collections are....

Personally, I think they make great collector's items and the cover art is almost always exceptional. But that's just me

Green Mile worth double dipping ahg I'm torn

The DVD does look good upscaled but if the quality is like reference like ugh it's tempting. Shawshank wasn't reference quality, eh I might just buy Shawshank on dvd so it compliments my Green Mile dvd or should I get Shawshank on blu? Ah man I'm confused.

I think greatness is thrown around far too much when talking about film. Darabont's prior film, The Shawshank Redemption is great wheras The Green Mile is simply good to me which is what matters, again, to me. I don't care for the supernatural aspect of it but I do love all the great character performances and Darabont knows how to take you to the setting in beautiful imagery and realistic settings.

Just how I personally view it. Still picking this up tomorrow (today).

Bluray.com says the movie was released on 10/13/2009, but I checked BB.com and there's no image and it's back ordered. I was there yesterday and I didn't even bother to look.

So is it out in stores?

Yeah apparently people have been seeing it in stores.

I would love to get this movie, but I've never paid 30 bucks for a blu, ever. I'm wondering if it would be worth it to wait and see if Warner has another awesome sale, and if it's available by then

The website says all of my local stores have it in stock. I want it, but I'm not paying $29.99.
