I don't even know what films you are talking about! The last SW film came out in May of 83 and it was the weakest of the three.

I would've voted for Liam Neeson if he were in the poll. Since he's not, I voted for Ewan McGregor.

Count me in for Liam Neeson. Although only in Episode III, his acting was the most genuine of all.

His character was also interesting--I wanted to know more about Obi-Wan than about Anakin. His was just the most balanced character and also the most balanced performance.
Same here! I loved Mcgregor's Obi-wan. I was so interested in the character itself and thought he was the main reason the prequels had life to them.

Exactly, Ray Park didn't even deliver the lines himself!! When they needed the lines they put someone else in the makeup and they did it.

Ray Park = stuntman in episode 1

Yeah, I was totally excited when I heard Portman was cast - then she gets lines just horrible lines and has the most wooden performance she has ever given.

I know the lines were bad - but everyone's acting seemed so wooden.

Only in Episode 3 were their glimpes of the actor's true talents.

Ian McDiarmid by a long chalk!

The subliminal evil in his eyes throughout Episodes 1 & 2 was terrific! And when he reveals his true nature in ROTS and and becomes the unhinged nihilist Sidious, he plays it with the right amount of menace and theatricality.

Then just don't vote.

And I still find it ironic that everyone criticizes the newer parts for having wooden dialogue and acting, while the older parts were also full of them.

Don't go there KubrickFan, I've debated this I don't know how many times but everytime it just turn into another endless debate.

No one love's Star Wars like I do, the original trilogy is so cheesie that you could eat nachos of them. But it seem some people refuse to admit this, they are convice they are the second coming or something similar.

I love you.
I know.
Droids don't rip people's arms out of their sockets when they lose. Wookiees are known to do that.
