Yeah my DDDHouse order is slower this time than usual but it is the holiday season and all shipping tends to be slower at this time of the year so I was expecting this. Just as I do with other sites this time of the year and pay more for shipping than I usually would if it is a Christmas present or something for somebody. But this was just for myself so was not in any hurry to get it.

Ya, the same thing is happening to me. I was kind of expecting it this week, but if it doesn't come today then it won't come till either Saturday or next week. I'm hoping that soon anyway.

Now, a quick note about shipping delays -- given that this is the busiest time of the year for many carriers, a delay of up to a week (to 10 days) is perfectly normal.

I received my copy from DDD two days ago, about a day or two longer than usual. Swiss postal service are really on the ball this year, though, delays have been minimal.

The quality of this disc is also minimal. Clueless Monkey put it mildly when he said there's some DNR. One look at his screenshots will tell you the truth, and watching the disc confirms it: heavy filtering. Or wax city if you prefer. Now I'm wondering if the french BD is the same transfer, because I loved the film...

hows the movies plot if you dont mind me asking?

storywise, could this be compared to 'Taken' or more or less any of the PCW vengeance movies?

Got mine from DDDHouse today. =)

SQ is very nice, but PQ is hard to say. As it could have been just the way Johnnie To filmed his work and lenses of choice. I just wish it could be a bit more detail and vibrant though.

Story wise, it is different from Taken. This one is more relax. Not the best or most exciting from Johnnie To. Pretty much, JT have done all of this in his other work. Simon Yam played one kool character! Love his personality. =)

I'm very disappoint that the only extra we get is a trailer. WTF?

Yeah he is a bit slow now. He shipped one item out on 12/17 and I got that the day before Christmas. Another item he supposedly shipped on 12/18 has still not arrived yet. This is after the Christmas rush so I have no idea what the hold up is on my orders. Glad I'm not alone.

Huge fan of to but im conflicted about this film, i think i might wait for a good deal then import it.

i just wonder how good it looks on Blu or if i should snag the dvd

Honestly, it's not the most impressive thing on bluray. The sound was good I suppose, but even that could've been better. I don't know if it was the type of camera To used, but things seemed out of focus sometimes and it just wasn't as pristine as I had hope overall. Still, I'm sort of glad I have it at the same time. I still really liked the film despite it's flaws.
