Proceed with caution when buying the complete series box set. If it's the set with the spindle holding the disc, they are all on top of each other, and many have complained of scratched and non-working discs and had to exchange them more than once to get discs that worked properly.

I love this show, but don't know if I'd go all out for a Blu-ray release. It would have to be a complete series set and fairly cheap.

Dam' that's a great deal for (possibly) my favorite sitcom! I'd love to pick up the Complete set...

I was reading the first few posts of the thread. This now exactly why I would love to see the show put on Blu-ray just to save space. I bought this collection on the cheap as well. Obviously they feel they have already gotten the DVD's sold to the masses so now there's a good opportunity to fit as many episodes as possible onto a Blu-ray disc. The only issue still is how people might take it to mean Blu-ray isn't higher video quality, but you'd like to think Blu-ray can be used for both HD and also for disc reduction of SD.

Default They really should release Married with children on bluray

Hi,
I think that Married with children is, was and it will always be the Best show on television EVER MADE.Al Bundy is metaphore for today's men who are struggling to survive in this world and still stay men-alive, wild, free.He is everything what real man should be.He loses, but he never gives up.He has unbreakable spirit and optimism.Al is full of life, all men and women should be full of life.He showed us that it doesn't matter what other people think of us.He is shoesalesman, but he still has faith in life. That makes him a winner. He loves other women, but he has family and he would never cheat on his wife.He just dreams and it's not a sin. That makes him one great man.He reminded us of John Wayne, another great man-thanks, Al.

And again, i think this show is something that really must be done in bluray as soon as possible.Don't let today's generation not to see this wonderfull satire tv show.People need satire in this world, where there is to many wrong things and to many pain for every man and woman.Let's make better world every single day. Thanks, people.

There is no possible way to make it HD
I don't know. I'v seen Married With Children airing in HD on TBS and while the HD picture quality isn't very impressive it's still a hair better than the picture quality out on dvd.

If they put this show out on Blu-Ray looking the way it does on HD networks that play it today and they fill it up with awesome bonus features and restored the Frank Sinatra song " Love And Marriage" back onto every episode I'd buy it in a heart beat!

What i don't understand is why people on here say that the classic TV show would not do good on blu-ray and that the dvd quality is as good as it gets! and it should be in 4:3 aspect ratio that 16:9 wouldn't look as good. when im watching it on TBS in High Definition and in 16:9 full aspect ratio and it looks amazing like it came out in today's television HD (High Definition). and just because people think it doesn't look as good on tv doesn't mean that people at sony don't have the tools to make it look like it is brand new it was recorded on 16mm film like all movies and TV shows including sound of music and that movie was made in the 60's almost 30 years before Married With... Children Originally aired and The Sound Of Music on bluray is amazing looking! i honestly feel with all of the people i talk to who watch it on tv and own the dvd's it would be a hot success on blu-ray with the amazing picture and sound. Especially since everyone is going to Blu-Ray Format and online services for movies like Netflix it would make sense to make it High Definition. i defiantly think they should stop being such tight woad's at SONY and make the originally theme song on the Blu-Ray Release. not that half a** version that is on season three and up on the dvd's!

It was shot on video, there is no extra resolution to see. Period. The nominal upgrade in picture quality from better video compression would not be at all worth it.

I thought it was shot on video too. All shows shot on video have a certain look to them and are easy to spot.

I'd love if the released these on Blu-Ray. Even if, as mentioned above, they are just a hair better, having these on less discs and a smaller profile for shelf room would be worth the extra cost IMO.

Honestly like bond fool said, theres honestly no point in having an older telly series shot on video upgraded to blu ray. It would be pointless.

I love Pieces Of April but I don't see the point in a blu ray release since it was recorded with a mini DV camcorder.

I suppose the only point would be if they, you know, actually kept the right f*****g theme tune this time.

Not period. If properly transferred from the original SD source (Betacam?) and upconverted, the resulting image would look much better than the DVDs.

I hope they do it. Also I would love to have the original theme song again.

It was filmed on video, rather pointless to release it on BD.
