Blade just seemed to be a better fit for my preferences

I could never grasp the first Blade movies, just did not pique my interest. I think I used the words "stylization over substance" back in my youth.

Underworld was fairly standard, but the introduction of "Victor" was pretty awesome. he sold the movie, my first introduction to Bill Nighy as an actor.

he gave so much "presence"..in similar vein to Davy Jones in PoTC.

so at least some form of emotional rezonance with underworld, and that is my selection.

I like both, but if I had to choose based on the character alone, Blade first. As far as movies though, Underworld is more consistent. As a fan, Blade Trinity pales compared to Blade 1 and 2.

With the success of Deadpool, there's a slight chance Wesley Snipes' reported talks with Marvel in 2015 may hold more potential for a new Blade movie, if Deadpool continues to do well in theaters next week and beyond. Deadpool earning the R rating for a Marvel movie. Blade 1 rated R in 1998.

I voted for Underworld for two reasons:

1. Kate Beckinsale

2. I've never seen the third entry in the Blade franchise.

Blade. The series has the only competent Director on any of the movies involved. Blade II and Del Toro. I'm convinced that Blade Director Stephen Norrington got lucky, and did his best of career directing on the first. Same goes for Wiseman on the first Underworld.

Blade.

I can't get into Underworld. I saw the first one in theaters, didn't care for it. Gave it a second chance with Evolution, STILL didn't care for it. Kate Beckinsale didn't return to the third one, so at that point I was like, ah **** it!

I think if this poll were started today Blade would have more votes. Underworld seems like it's more faded from people's consciences over the last 10 years?

Blade Trinity sucks, but all of the Underworld films suck. Blade, easily.

Like many of you, I enjoyed the Underworld trilogy all-around whereas with Blade, just the first two movies are good, Trinity sucked-ass big time.
